Disclaimer: this annoyed me tremendously. Greek waiters will tell everyone when they’re ordering too much food. Men, women, teens, senior citizens. Everyone. It’s a country where people generally don’t want to be wasteful. If they think you’re ordering so much it’ll end up in the trash — wasting the food and your money — a waiter will say “that’s too much food for you.” They aren’t fat shaming you. That’s actually a very American assumption.
