Quebec has passed Bill 9 that bans public prayer. Back in May 2026, a group of Pro Palestine Muslim protestors prayed in front of Montreal's Catholic cultural hallmark: The Notre Dame. The basicilica had to ring church bells 3 times to protest. No Christians, Buddhists or Jews would even think about praying in front of a mosque to offend Muslims. So no, Canadians are not Islamophobic. Some Muslims are awful people and bad citizens. And if you're a Muslim and you support this, you're part of the problem.
