The reality is there's mass amounts of cheating in our elections. Just because there's an engineered lack of data, does not mean there isn't data to the contrary. The new CBS/YouGov poll shows that 80% of Americans support Voter ID including 80% of black Americans & 77% of Hispanic Americans. Yet why is it that Congress seems so intractable to wanting to pass a such a popular policy?

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Autonomous Vehicle Regulations: “My philosophy is this: if I move the regulations too slowly, we kill innovation, we kill the companies, or they’ll go overseas. If I go too fast and the AVs aren’t ready for the rules I give them, people get hurt. I have to find the Goldilocks approach — the right stage of where we are with AVs before we set them loose. “Congress has to say the federal government should regulate these standards. We shouldn’t have every state individually deciding yes or no, what they’ll allow and what they won’t. It’s a hodgepodge. Let us set one standard. That’s the biggest issue for AVs right now. “If you have an autonomous vehicle, do you need rearview mirrors? “Do you need windshield wipers? “Do you need a brake pedal and a gas pedal? “Do you need a steering wheel? “There are a whole bunch of conversations we have to have about what we think we need in an automobile versus what an autonomous vehicle actually should have.”

One of the only things the doctors flagged was that I had super low bone density. I thought that was strange because I lift weights, which should promote bone growth. So I asked the doctor what could cause it. “She asked if I had been on birth control that let me skip my periods. When I said yes, she told me that was likely the cause. She said it’s good that we caught it now — I’m young and healthy, so I can work to build it back up — but if I had stayed on it longer, it could have really hurt me in the long term.”

“My Tesla buying experience was nothing like anything I’ve ever experienced before. Normally, when you buy a car, you go to a dealership, test drive the vehicle, haggle with the salesperson, and then deal with the finance team—which is usually way worse than the sales staff. I still remember one car I bought years ago that took a full six hours. It was miserable. “This time, I wasn’t even sure I was going to buy a Tesla. I just wanted to test drive one—I’d never even ridden in one before. I hadn’t looked at the Model Y much, though I saw them on the road all the time. Like a lot of gas-car drivers, I used to think EVs were kind of stupid. But over the years, Tesla’s infrastructure has improved so much that I decided it was worth checking out. “My current car was a 2020 Volvo that was starting to show its age. Even though I had promised my husband I’d keep it forever, maintenance was getting ridiculous. The 50,000-mile service alone cost around $800. So I booked a test drive appointment for 1:00 p.m. “At the center, a Tesla advisor drove me first to show me how Autopilot worked, then handed me the keys. I only drove for about 10 minutes, came back, and spent some time exploring all the car’s features. After that, I was sold. I wanted it. “Before going in, I had already checked Tesla’s trade-in offer on my Volvo and it was significantly better than what Carvana was quoting. The numbers made sense. All I had to do was fill out the finance application. The rate was an incredible 0.99%, and if I kept the loan the entire term, the total finance charges would only be about $800. That was a no-brainer. “I arrived at 1:00 p.m. and drove home in my new Tesla around 5:00 p.m. Most of that time wasn’t even at the Tesla center—I had to run home to eat, find my title, clean out my old car, talk to my husband, and head back. If I had done all that in advance and had the car cleared out with the title in hand, I probably would have been in and out in about an hour. “They also happened to have the exact model, color, and configuration I would have ordered on the spot. I didn’t have to wait for a custom build. “Super long rant, but that’s my Tesla car buying story!”
