My honest take on this is that the boy’s privacy should simply be respected. It’s just unfortunate that mothers sometimes never believe their children, especially their sons, have grown. They still see them as the little babies they once were. As a mother, would you feel comfortable if the situation were reversed and your husband was insisting that he must see his daughter’s boil? You would probably call it all sorts of things and even accuse him of having ulterior motives. Mothers should lower their egos. Some children are simply shy, and some are educated enough to understand boundaries. The implication is that if he can’t show it to you, he probably won’t show it to a random outsider either. Your job is to educate and empower your children especially your daughters with the right knowledge since they may be more vulnerable in certain situations.
