I would say the odds of us actually being able to catch the booster with the Mechazilla arms this year. “ xAI team is currently working heavily on coding models. Right now, the main focus is training a specialized coding model that will be both fast and smart. I believe we’ll share it with you guys in a few weeks. That’s exciting. Second ,after coding, we all see that the main weakness of Grok 4 is its multimodal capabilities. In fact, it was so bad that Grok was effectively looking at the world while squinting through glass trying to see blurry features and make sense of them. The most immediate improvement we’re stepping on with the next generation pre trained model is huge gains in image understanding, video understanding, and audio. Right now, the model can hear and see the world just like any of you. “Many years ago I was thinking that what would inhibit alignment of collective human will with artificial intelligence and the low data rate of humans. Human have slow output rate that would necessarily just because the communication is so slow would diminish the link between humans and computers? “In the beginning we (SpaceX team) knew nothing about rockets and our first three Falcon 1 missions failed that almost bankrupting us. SpaceX barely survived with the fourth launch if it had failed, the company would have collapsed. I am actually the chief engineer of SpaceX, so I've signed off on pretty much all the design decisions. I don't have an aerospace degree. “The Blindsight device from Neuralink will enable even those who have lost both eyes and their optic nerve to see. Provided the visual cortex is intact, it will even enable those who have been blind from birth to see for the first time. Neuralink Device threads will go through the dura, without the need to remove it. This is a big deal. With Neuralink implant interfacing directly to the visual cortex, even those who are completely blind will be able to see again.
