Did I spam bitcoin? At Braiins, our focus is simple: help miners mine more bitcoin. We love bitcoin. To us, it’s the only truly decentralized digital money. But every once in a while, we’ve used a block to do something else too: mark a moment worth remembering. Leaving a message in a block isn’t exactly new. Satoshi did it in the first one: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.” A newspaper headline, timestamped into history. We’ve followed Satoshi’s example a few times since. Like when El Salvador declared bitcoin legal tender, or when the ESG crowd came for bitcoin mining. And, on a more personal note, when I asked Summer Meng to marry me, which we also captured in this video. Those messages will remain on the bitcoin timechain forever. So, did I spam bitcoin?
