Congratulations to For Women Scotland for this unequivocal win at appeal! Women’s & lesbians' rights are human rights. They do not impinge on others' rights. The Labour Party Gov & public bodies must now review all existing policies to bring them in line with this ruling & common sense.

Minister Jacqui Smith: "It is important that all bodies, public & private, consider the clarity of the For Women Scotland Supreme Court judgment & review their policies in line with that. That goes for the NHS, & it goes for other organisations as well". Sadly, LWD has to ask all ministers, @NHS & gov depts inc Cabinet Office - Where is the evidence that ANY of you are actually following this advice⬆️? For a full record of the question about EHRC Code delay, asked by Sarah Ludford 🇬🇧 🇮🇪🇪🇺 🇺🇦 & gov answers, see Hansard -

Strong, focused question from @JackieBMSP today following the Sandie Peggie judgement, calling for a single, consistent approach across Scotland so women don’t have to complain individually just to have the law applied at work. Exactly the right point to press.
