Thru Karishma Mehta podcast a few days ago - where I expressed how I felt sad about the young boy who was pushed aside by security of Virat Kohli - when he tried to get his Autograph. The child Was heart broken. Ipl is all about creating a fan base and loyalty of fans is paramount. No man team or player should think he is a bigger star and has no time for his fans. I know it’s not Virat’s fault - it’s sometimes is the security apparatus around the stars that at times right - at times too aggressive that need to be human. Anyway It touched my heart when I saw this incident on social media. I offered through my podcast to send my bat which I have of Virat Kholi with the Rest of the indian Cricket Team - which participated in the 2011 World Cup to him. We did not know who the child was. Well Karishma Mehta put that story out on her podcast - The young Child Yagu saw it and reached out to me on social media on my instagram. I immediately called him in the middle of the night half asleep - and did a video call with him and his father. And we spoke. And it made my day. Today he sent me this video. I am sending the bat from my private collection which was on my wall to him - I hope Virat Kohli sends me one of his most prized bats for my collection. As I have none too of his alone 😭😭😭😭🥰😘.

I did it #myway - a few memories from my annual summer party past Sunday at my house in london. Had an amazing night with 310 friends and family a lot who travelled specially for this event thank you to one and all who attended this evening and made it one of the most special night for me - thank you to ..braganza for the rocking #karoke and to the one and only #universeboss sai saran for staying all night and sharing all his stories. I am responding to the news : where someone pointed #psl is great traditional cricket. Well here is my response. A movie has a script. Great cricket doesn’t. When I built the IPL, the vision was simple: create a tournament where nobody knows the result till the last over — full of suspense, drama and unforgettable finishes. That isn’t less cricket. That is amazing cricket. And it has become one of the greatest stages in the world for discovering young talent. I have always said: we created Cricket meeting Entertainment — resulting in the greatest SPORTSTAINMENT property in the world. The viewership numbers tell it all. 🙏🏽 IndianPremierLeague

There have been a lot of rumour about the sale of an IndianPremierLeague franchise specifically Royal Challengers Bengaluru - well in the past they have been denied. But it seems the owners have finally decided to take it off their balance sheet and sell it. I am sure having won the IPL last season and also with its strong base of fans and off course the Team itself and a great management team - it could be the only Team which would be available as a whole as an#ipl franchise. I am sure one of the Big Global funds or a Sovereign Fund would desperately like to have them as part of their investment strategy and India strategy. There can be no better investment opportunity I could think of then this one. Good luck to whoever can get their hands on to it. It definitely will set a new record valuation which will just go to show that IPL is the not only the fastest growing Global Sporting league but also the most valuable. That new price that #rcb sets will become the new floor price for all teams. Good to luck to all. I am sure #citibank will do a great job auctioning the team to prospective buyers.
