This was a massive move by the Cincinnati Bengals trading for Dexter Lawrence. This is all about improving that defense to pair with the explosive offense and Joe (Shiesty) Burrow. I stated this during SuperBowl week, that the Jets should target Marcus Mariota in free agency. The Jets need a calming presence under center this year and that's what Mariota is. He proved in 8 games last year he can still push the ball down the field and also still has his athletic ability. He would be a really good bridge QB and also a mentor for a young QB this year or next year when the Jets decide to draft their QB of the future. I know this isn't a sexy pick up but it's the right pick up to stable the ship under center for the Jets. #NFLFreeAgency #Jets #NFL
