Some of these attempts at Russian influence in the alt media sphere have been done quite brazenly, such as Lex Fridman's alleged glazing of Vladimir Putin to Joe Rogan during their off camera dinner. Joe Rogan IS the new mainstream & if he is fed lies about how the Ukrainian Nazis are murdering Christians or other such nonsense, this plays a role in solidifying consensus among MAGA adjacent policy-makers. This same kind of influence is found in most media / podcasting spheres as only a small number of them can recognize Russian lies as well as they can notice propaganda from the CIA like Mike Baker, etc. Interestingly enough, most regular people in the US (including Trump supporters) I've talked to have been way more sympathetic & supportive of Ukraine than even some liberal publications, and I believe this comes down to most media people being in proximity of actual Russian assets employed by said publications... people who the aforementioned regular civilians will never (thankfully) interact with. Masha Drokova is just the tip of the iceberg... There's gonna need to be a major house cleaning.
