This is crazy! This man was rescuing people off of the mountain. He was told by the fire chief that if he went back they would arrest him. He had to leave the man alone on the mountain. Listen! A road was carved out in WNC by the West Virginia Coal Miners so the VOLUNTEERS could get supplies up to the people in Chimney Rock and beyond. FEMA came in and put up a big metal gate and told the volunteers they could no longer use that road. Someone tore down the gate so now FEMA is getting a contract for $280,000 to put another gate, cameras, and guards to make sure no one โtrespasses.โ $280,00 that could be used on the victims of this stormโฆ Now tell me why they would to this? I remember Governor Cooper saying in an interview that the people in Chimney Rock shouldnโt rebuild. They just needed to sell their land. Who is he to tell them they shouldnโt rebuild? I guess itโs just not enough that people have lost so much if not everything. DPS showed up at her home and removed her son. He has been placed into a foster home 2 hours away from her. Hereโs a hypothetical โฆ If the farmers and homeowners in NC wouldnโt sell their land to Piedmont Lithium, I wonder what could be done to incentivize them to sell? These people are sitting on lithium which is worth billions. Maybe a flood from a hurricane that didnโt seen like a normal hurricane? Do you think losing everything they own would make them sell?
