The ancient bronze doors of St. John Lateran These massive doors — nearly 2,000 years old — once guarded the Curia Julia, the Roman Senate House in the Forum. Emperors like Domitian oversaw them; Julius Caesar himself may have walked through. Moved here in 1660 by Pope Alexander VII, they now welcome pilgrims into Rome’s Cathedral. History you can still touch. What a sight in person! 🔥 My video.
