For Metal Gear Solid V’s final trailer, director Hideo Kojima delivered an emotional farewell to fans of the series. The launch trailer also gave us our first glimpse of the ST-84 Metal Gear Sahelanthropus. I still love this game so much. Forever Metal Gear.

Director Kojima used LEGO blocks to construct 3D spaces, helping him and the team visualize how different camera angles would appear from the player’s perspective, whether leaning against a wall or moving through the environment. A vital part of the design process behind MGS.

Set to New Order’s 1985 track “Elegia” and interwoven with Skull Face’s dialogue, this unforgettable MGSV trailer arrived just months before release. By then, the hype had reached its absolute peak, and that song stayed stuck in my head for weeks. Only Kojima could do this.

Something I think is being overlooked in regards to the MGS3 is, Konami will most likely be reusing the incredible mo-cap work Kojima and his team did, like the work done with Bill Yokoyama, who is credited with the gunplay along with Tornado Yoshida for Revolver Ocelot for MGS3. For years, most fans had no idea this was done in mo-cap. It was touches like this that made scenes directed by Kojima in MGS3 so special.

This video clip comes courtesy of ElAnalistaDeBits on Yt. It seems the Nintendo Switch 2 version of MGS4 runs incredibly well at an upscaled resolution to 4K and 60 FPS. Take a look for yourself. The image quality also looks great, with both the frame rate and level of detail appearing comparable to the PS5 version. It seems this is a true port and not emulation. This is looking incredible. I need my hands on this Konami! 😅 Link to full video in the reply.
