Whisky War Legacy For nearly 50 years, Canada and Denmark fought the world’s friendliest war over a tiny Arctic island. Hans Island. They’d take turns removing each other’s flag and leaving a bottle of whiskey (or schnapps) behind. 🥃 In 2022 they called it a draw and just split the island.
