Bass was scheduled to attend, but didn’t show up. When I asked Pratt about her absence, he responded: “Maybe she’s in Ghana.” (Interview: Aug. 26, 2025. Pratt announced his mayoral campaign Jan. 7, 2026.) Now, less than a year later, Pratt and Bass are facing off in Tuesday’s Los Angeles mayoral primary.
