Aka Matt Taylor, Republican Candidate for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture

Higher fertilizer prices aren’t an accident. Lobbyists pushed for tariffs on Moroccan phosphate fertilizer, and farmers are paying the price. Florida is full of invasive aquatic plants choking our waterways. Harvest them. Turn them into fertilizer, livestock feed, and compost to rebuild our soil instead of spraying herbicides into our lakes. Regenerative agriculture can solve more than one problem. Robert F. Kennedy Jr

A rural Florida resident living behind a pasture says this about what’s coming next: “The biggest heartbreak of my life will be watching all this land behind me turn into houses. I think the most depressing part of it all is the commissioner of agriculture in the state of Florida owns that land, but unbeknownst to us. He also owns part of a real estate development company” She says the land is tied to Wilton Simpson and is headed toward housing development. Rural Florida is watching every pasture line disappear.

“Trust a farmer.” Meanwhile, Wilton Simpson sold his chicken farm, then became a real estate developer in the middle of Florida’s urban storm. Now he’s buying farmland with another well-known Pasco County family, removing agricultural protections, and turning Florida farmland into houses. Maybe the news outlets will finally start calling him what he is: The real estate developer from Trilby. Florida needs an Agriculture Commissioner who protects farmland, not one who helps pave it over. Matt Taylor for Florida Agriculture commissioner.

🚨 YARD SIGN PSA: YOU’RE BEING WATCHED. 🚨 Removing political yard signs in Florida is a crime. If a police officer knocks on your door asking if you’ve been removing signs in the area, lying probably isn’t your best move. Chances are, that yard sign you grabbed had a GPS tracker/AirTag inside it. The fella driving around Plant City removing my signs recently had no idea some had AirTags. One last thing: If you get caught, don’t get a bad attitude with the police. They’re only at your door because you allegedly stole yard signs. 🤷♂️

🚨 They wanted to replace Florida State Parks with golf courses, hotels, and pickleball courts. We stopped them. Now Jonathan Dickinson State Park’s observation tower has been closed for years, the boardwalk is falling apart, and the state says it can’t find the money to fix them. Yet Florida spent millions on conservation easements tied to the president and vice president of PBA Holdings, a company involved in the Project Tango data center. Some of that money later ended up in the Friends of Wilton Simpson PAC. As Florida’s next Agriculture Commissioner, I’ll fight to rebuild the Jonathan Dickinson boardwalk and observation tower, and make the tower ADA compliant so every Floridian can enjoy the view. The math doesn’t make sense. Wilton Simpson has spent $8.7 million to keep a job that pays $139,000 a year. Change one variable and it adds up: it’s not his money. It’s funded by special interests, developers, Mosaic, NextEra, and others. $20K-$30K to boost a Facebook post? Then people wonder how a real estate developer earns conservation awards. Are the millions spent on consultants the missing link between developers and “conservationists”? Matt Taylor for Florida Agriculture Commissioner.

🚨 Florida’s waterways are being sprayed with herbicides by government agencies, including FWC, and many voters have serious questions. This is exactly the kind of issue that should have been discussed in a Republican primary debate. Instead, Evan Power and the Florida GOP changed the rules and canceled debates. What are they afraid of? 🎥 Watch the video below, and tag the Florida governor candidate you support in the comments. Let’s see who is willing to address this issue.

Troubling reports are coming out of Milton, Florida. Residents say animals and wildlife have died following helicopter spraying along power lines, reportedly involving a chemical believed to be an herbicide. These claims should be investigated immediately. Wilton Simpson Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services

🚨 4,000 houses across from Hillsborough River State Park. Hillsborough County is considering changing a project from 700 to 4,000 units despite infrastructure that can barely handle today’s traffic. The maximum allowable donation for local county commissioners is $1,000. Developers have found a loophole by using multiple LLCs. If you create 25 LLCs, you can legally donate $25,000 in total, effectively circumventing campaign finance laws. Meanwhile, Florida bought conservation easements from the president and vice president of PBA Holdings, a company involved in Project Tango, the proposed data center project. That comes after the state approved an $83 MILLION, 4-acre Destin sandbar with little to no conservation value. Where is the Agriculture Commissioner? Wilton Simpson took $25,000 from the developer and voted to approve the Destin sandbar. Florida deserves better. Matt Taylor for Florida Agriculture Commissioner

🚨Florida’s lakes are trapped in a chemical cycle.🚨 Florida agencies hire contractors to spray herbicides like glyphosate, diquat dibromide, and 2,4-D into our waterways. Now aluminum sulfate is being dispersed into Lake Yale to combat algae blooms that a Lake County commissioner has attributed to persistent herbicide treatments. Perhaps this is one reason Evan Power and the Florida GOP didn’t want debates with anyone besides their chosen candidates? Florida voters deserve answers.

🍊🐄 Florida is about to spend nearly $200 million helping the citrus industry fight disease and storm damage. Meanwhile, one of Florida’s largest citrus producers, Alico Inc., announced it’s moving away from citrus production and toward land development. At the same time, lawmakers argued there aren’t enough places for cattle to graze and pushed legislation to allow grazing on state conservation lands. So why not connect the dots? Instead of watching old citrus groves sit idle or become subdivisions, why not help transition struggling groves into cattle pasture until a cure for citrus greening is found? A simple idea that could help both industries and keep more Florida land in agriculture.

🚨 In the Free State of Florida, armed deputies on an airboat allegedly entered private property to spray herbicides into a privately owned waterway. Floridians deserve answers. These chemicals are linked to damaged fisheries, harmful algae blooms, and the destruction of the sandy-bottom lakes that make Florida unique. This is exactly why voters wanted debates for Governor and Cabinet candidates. Why did Florida GOP make sure they wouldn’t happen?

Contractors routinely spray herbicides into Florida lakes by helicopter. After a contractor sprayed an FPL easement in Santa Rosa County, residents reported 50 dead chickens, a dead horse, and wildlife losses. The Santa Rosa Beekeepers Association president says it’s a recurring problem. Public records show the contractor received multiple violations for improperly storing chemicals, and I’ve received reports of the same issues again and again. Recurring problem? Watch. ⬇️

🚨ANOTHER ANIMAL DEATH REPORTED🚨 First came reports of 50 dead chickens and major bee losses. Now a horse has reportedly died following the Santa Rosa County helicopter spray incident. The farm says Florida Power & Light initially denied hiring the helicopter. Florida power and light now acknowledges it hired the contractor but says it doesn’t know what chemical was sprayed, while also claiming it isn’t harmful to animals. Still no public statement from Wilton Simpson or Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services. What were residents and their animals exposed to?

Where’s Florida’s CFO when you need him? Oh right, Blaise Ingoglia voted for it. Florida’s Cabinet, including Wilton Simpson, approved spending $83 million in conservation funds on a 4-acre sandbar with questionable conservation value. The seller? Robert Guidry, who pleaded guilty in a Louisiana bribery case and has donated thousands to Florida politicians and bureaucrats. Maybe DOGE stands for Deals Only Guidry Enjoys. 🎥👇

🚨WATCH: Florida Republicans are being told to sit down and accept the party’s chosen candidates.🚨 Last August, Evan Power said Republican voters would decide the nominees in the primaries. Since then, the Florida GOP has endorsed candidates in contested statewide races while changing the rules in a way that ensured debates wouldn’t happen. If voters are supposed to decide, why is the party picking favorites? The Florida GOP should be fighting for voter choice, transparency, and open debate, not protecting insiders and handpicking nominees.

$68,000,000. That’s how much Florida taxpayers paid for a “conservation easement” on land that remains privately owned. Public records show connections to Project Tango, companies whose leaders have donated to Friends of Wilton Simpson, and prior land deals involving Wilton Simpson. Blaise Ingoglia maybe we need to DOGE Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services Floridians deserve answers. Watch this. 👇

Who’s really running Florida? Developers have gained enormous influence over state government while our farms, wetlands, and rural communities disappear. Wilton Simpson is a real estate developer with development interests in eastern Pasco County. This August, Republican voters have the opportunity to replace a developer with someone who will put Florida first.

🚨BREAKING: Florida GOP Executive Director Bill Helmich claimed to be an elector in Madison County on his candidate oath while receiving a homestead exemption in Leon County. The Madison County property listed on his oath was owned by David Ramba until it was sold earlier this year. David Ramba owns Ramba Consulting, which employs Evan Power. Florida voters deserve a clear explanation.
