Feels like you’re not cut out to be a lawyer if you react like this to reading Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Maybe pass a law banning theater kids from attending law school?

THIS IS INSANE. Parodyjeffx lifted a video of an Albanian celebrity named Ludjan Muçaraku dancing, added fake Arabic audio, and added a caption saying that he's actually an "Israeli settler in a Palestinian home in the West Bank." The predictable result: Hundreds of comments and thousands of retweets from people OUTRAGED at Israeli behavior (it was an Albanian celebrity doing a silly dance in his own home). If these people had the facts on their side, they wouldn't have to lie ALL THE TIME. Ban Parodyjeffx.

“Palestinian alarm clock” was a funny joke because everybody knew that unrestricted Palestinian behavior led to suicide bombings. Israel has done such a good job stopping Palestinian behavior that kids these days won’t get the reference.

In 2019, right-wing Israeli politician Bezalel Smotrich tore into left-wing former Prime Minister Ehud Barak for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. "Hopefully, you'll be ashamed of the hatred and incitement campaign you're spreading against Religious Zionism at least as much as you're ashamed of your connection to that pedophile, Epstein." Smotrich is now Minister of Finance under PM Netanyahu.

In April 2024, Harvard gave "the world's leading famine expert" a webinar to declare that Gaza was now the most intense famine since records began, already worse than a famine that killed a quarter of a million people, and about to get much, much worse. Alex de Waal wrote the standard textbook on famine, runs the World Peace Foundation, and helped write starvation crimes into international law. In January 2024, he told Owen Jones that famine would probably arrive by early February. February came and went. In March, he told CBS that famine was expected between then and May. On April 30, 2024, with May a day away and still no famine, he doubled down AGAIN. 0:00 Explains the IPC Phase 5 famine threshold: excess deaths of 2 per 10,000 per day, "deep, deep, deep into a crisis" 0:28 "Gaza is a famine... the most intense famine that we have seen since records began" 0:48 The IPC estimate: 96 percent of Gaza's population, 2.2 million people, in Phase 3, the great majority in Phases 4 or 5 1:28 "We're already worse in absolute numbers than Somalia," a famine that killed 250,000 people, "the worst famine up to now recorded for this century." And the figures are "going to get much, much worse" 2:17 "That responsibility falls on the government of Israel" 2:39 The harm will be "lifelong and actually intergenerational" 2:56 "I call this famine. If this is not famine, then the word really has no meaning" — What actually happened: The famine never arrived. Five weeks after this webinar, the IPC's own Famine Review Committee reviewed the famine claims: "not plausible," and "the available evidence does not indicate that Famine is currently occurring." He explained the threshold himself: 2 excess deaths per 10,000 per day, which for Gaza would be over 400 hunger deaths a day. Gaza's recorded malnutrition death rate in 2025 (74 deaths through late July, per the WHO) works out to roughly the same per-capita rate as the United States, where the CDC counted over 20,000 malnutrition deaths in 2022. After the October 2025 ceasefire, a UNICEF-led survey found 0.5 percent acute child malnutrition in Gaza, one of the lowest rates in the region. Full webinar, April 30, 2024: — Alex de Waal said that if Gaza is not famine, then the word really has no meaning. Five weeks later, his own review committee could not find his famine.

In January 2024, the world’s leading famine expert gave Gaza two weeks until catastrophic mass starvation. Alex de Waal wrote the standard textbook on famine, runs the World Peace Foundation, and helped write starvation crimes into international law. When the media says ‘famine experts warn,’ this is who they mean. In January 2024, he did an interview with Owen Jones and made a series of predictions/declarations about starvation in Gaza. 0:00 “I’ve not seen anything like this before” in 40 years 0:21 Famine “probably by early February [2024],” nothing like it in 75 years 1:29 Even a ceasefire cannot stop the deaths, “those deaths are on Israel” 2:33 Starvation deaths “will soon exceed those directly from violence” 2:50 “A catastrophe the likes of which we have not seen in my lifetime” — What actually happened: The IPC’s own Famine Review Committee, June 2024: the famine claims were “not plausible,” and “the available evidence does not indicate that Famine is currently occurring.” Gaza’s recorded malnutrition death rate in 2025 (74 deaths through late July, per the WHO) works out to roughly the same per-capita rate as the United States, where the CDC counted over 20,000 malnutrition deaths in 2022. After the October 2025 ceasefire, a UNICEF-led survey found 0.5 percent acute child malnutrition in Gaza, one of the lowest rates in the region. — Every single declaration was false at the time. Every single prediction didn’t happen. The only thing that collapsed in February 2024 was Alex de Waal’s credibility.

March 25, 2024: Alex de Waal tells Democracy Now that Gaza's children are already dying of starvation and disease "likely in thousands," and that this "simply hasn't happened before in our lifetimes." His lifetime includes Ethiopia in 1984: around 1 million dead, the Live Aid famine, the crisis that he says launched his own career 40 years ago. That is the man declaring that what he sees in Gaza is unprecedented. Alex de Waal wrote the standard textbook on famine, runs the World Peace Foundation, and helped write starvation crimes into international law. When the media says ‘famine experts warn,’ this is who they mean. On March 19, 2024, he told CBS that famine in Gaza was expected between then and May 2024. On March 21, he wrote in The Guardian that Gaza faced "the most intense famine since the second world war." On March 25, 2024, he was on Democracy Now, going even further. 0:00 The Guardian op-ed title: "the most intense famine since the Second World War" 0:17 Children are dying in significant numbers, "likely in thousands already" 0:47 "We have never seen a situation...It simply hasn't happened before in our lifetimes" 1:19 The Famine Review Committee is "the ultimate arbiter, the High Court, if you like, of humanitarian assessments" 1:34 "No way that this disaster can be prevented" without a ceasefire 1:46 The Dutch hunger winter comparison: "a calamity that will be felt for generations" 2:30 Even with a ceasefire, "too late to save the lives of hundreds, probably thousands of children" 2:56 "The war crime of starvation being perpetrated at scale" — What actually happened: Ten weeks later, the IPC's Famine Review Committee (the "High Court" that de Waal praised as "the ultimate arbiter") reviewed the Gaza famine claims: "not plausible," and "the available evidence does not indicate that Famine is currently occurring." The thousands of starvation deaths that de Waal described were never recorded by ANYONE. Full show, March 25, 2024: Gaza segment: -- Alex de Waal said that Gaza's level of famine hadn't happened before in our lifetimes. Ten weeks later, his "high court" ruled that it wasn't happening at all.

In March 2024, CBS News gave "the world's leading famine expert" five minutes to declare that Gaza's famine was already among the worst in modern times, and that the worst was still to come. Alex de Waal wrote the standard textbook on famine, runs the World Peace Foundation, and helped write starvation crimes into international law. Two months earlier, he had told Owen Jones that famine would probably arrive by early February. February came and went. On March 19, 2024, he was back, doubling down. 0:11 The new IPC report: famine "expected to occur any time between now and May" 0:39 The figures are "absolutely shocking," in four decades "I have never seen anything quite like this" 1:04 He says Gaza's numbers already exceed Somalia 2011, the worst famine of the last 30 years: "it ranks amongst the worst famines in modern times. And sadly, it is set to get quite a lot worse" 2:18 Imminent famine does not mean the brink of disaster: "we're already into disaster" 4:47 And the verdict: Israel is "culpable of starvation crimes under international law" — What actually happened: The famine projected for mid-March to May never arrived. The IPC's own Famine Review Committee, June 2024: the famine claims were "not plausible," and "the available evidence does not indicate that Famine is currently occurring." Gaza's recorded malnutrition death rate in 2025 (74 deaths through late July, per the WHO) works out to roughly the same per-capita rate as the United States, where the CDC counted over 20,000 malnutrition deaths in 2022. After the October 2025 ceasefire, a UNICEF-led survey found 0.5 percent acute child malnutrition in Gaza, one of the lowest rates in the region. Full segment, March 19, 2024: — Somalia in 2011 ended the lives of a quarter of a million people. The famine that Alex de Waal ranked above it could not be found by his own review committee three months later.
