We have decided to stop treatments. The sarcoma has has gotten to aggressive. Thanks for all the love, prayers and kindness over this 9 year with war. I could not have made it without an amazing team from @moffittcancercenter my family and all of you. sarcoma has taken my leg, some of my lung, seared my flesh, taken time and tears but it has never taken our smile. We will keep crossing finish lines as you all know I believe every step is a finish line. When a Navy Seal and American hero calls, you pick up the phone. Marcus thank you for the call and “gently” yanking me up by my collar. I’m standing strong brother and pushing hard. Last week when we decided to stop treatments for sarcoma cancer, doubt crept in that maybe it’s time to lay down. You said we are standing back to back and you’re here with me, to stay on my feet. We just did a 2 hour horse ride through the mountains. I threw my guts up but it was with it. I did added 4 more feet to stand on thanks to Bo the quarter horse. Sarcoma has taken my leg. Tumors are in most of my spine, liver, kidneys, brain and too many bones to count. I have collapsed vertebrae, a broken collar bone, fractured shoulder from the tumors..but my spirt is not broken. Our family is thankful for the inspiration and kindness we have received from the Team Never Quit community over the years. Marcus and Melanie Lutrell, Kara Rhodes and Andrew Brockenbush with Beefy Marketing, we are grateful. Thanks to so many people who have sent prayers and love. I don’t know what you may be going through but I believe every step is a finish line and I pray you cross many. Big shout out to Rob at Chunky Gal stables. Highly recommend his riding outfit.
