"It is so fucking obvious that it was and continues to be in real time a cover-up. Because if you didn't do anything wrong, Donald Trump, if you didn't commit crimes, Donald Trump, then why are people scrambling to protect your ass?" Katie Phang reacts to the NY Times' bombshell reporting on the Epstein files.

Ben Meiselas connects the dots between Trump's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal and North Korea's nuclear program: When Donald Trump pulled out of the JCPOA, it sent the message that this template that was going to be used for North Korea would never work because the U.S. would never keep its word. So Kim Jong-un viewed Trump's withdrawal from the JCPOA and said, "Got it, this guy is an easy mark; let's do the love letter thing and drag this out and build the nuclear weapons." Part of Obama's thinking behind the JCPOA was North Korea as well, and it was reducing the proliferation of nuclear weapons as an international governing principle.

Angus: People used to just assume the United States would find a way to make a solution. They were the big bully on the block. They were our bully, we stuck with them. But now they are not trustworthy. So this is why you're seeing Canada looking to Europe, Canada talking to China, the Europeans starting to look to Asia, everyone deciding they've got to get out from under this.

Katie Phang on Jeffrey Epstein's former assistant Lesley Groff: This woman's name appears more than 167k times in the existing rollout of the Epstein files. She worked for Epstein from February of 2001 until July of 2019. I want you to think about the fact that that is 18-19 years of employment as Jeffrey Epstein's closest executive assistant. Yet, she insists she had no idea what Jeffrey Epstein was doing. It defies logic and reality.

Brett Meiselas: Donald Trump has set the Iranian regime up—the oppressive Iranian regime that he acted like he wanted to overthrow in the beginning. He set them up to be richer than ever; he set them up to be a major player; he set them up to show that they could assert economic dominance not only over the United States but over the entire world by simply shutting down the strait. At the end of the day, Iran showed that they had the cards, and Donald Trump showed that he was a paper tiger.

Meiselas: What [the Trump regime] are saying is the reason that they went into this, that they think by getting a weaker and worse deal by blowing a bunch of things up and committing war crimes with Netanyahu, that that shows strength. And Obama was saying what actually shows strength is building multilateral coalitions and coming up with a solution that avoids war, making war the last option. But I think Obama's words right now are ringing truer than ever.

Ben Meiselas on Ukraine joining the EU: That process is now formally beginning. A real deal taking place, Donald. Your America First doctrine means America Alone. And as PM Carney of Canada said, the future of the world's strength right now is growing out of Europe and Europe finding its identity ... So Donald, while you're out there weakening the United States, Ukraine is forming the backbone of a strengthened European Union.

Katie Phang: Hello, mainstream media, legacy media. You gotta be asking James Comer why he's allowing the transcribed interview and not allowing the sworn deposition videotaped testimony of former AG Pamela Jo Bondi. The person who said, "I've got the Epstein files on my desk." The person who issued that July 7, 2025 memo alongside FBI's Kash Patel saying, "I've looked at everything, there's nothing left to give over, there's no one left to investigate, there's nothing to be done." And yet, subsequent to that, we get three million plus pages and documents with another three million that Todd Blanche is still sitting his ass on? Stop. We're not fucking stupid.

Ben Meiselas reflects on Canadian Prime Minister Carney's recent speech in Dublin, Ireland: I think this is very important, where he talks about shared values, values, and principles. And that's what we can rely on: that Canada, Ireland, Europe share the same values. Implicit in this is that we don't share the values in this Trump-MAGA version of America. We thought we shared those values, but we don't.

Michael Popok torches the Trump DOJ’s contradictory positions on the ballroom and the UFC event: "We need the ballroom, it's national security" ... Why in the 41 pages filed by the same [DOJ lawyer in both the UFC and ballroom cases] is there not even a footnote acknowledging the security risks at the White House presented by 5,000 people in a mass hoard descending on to the lawn as Donald Trump pimps out the White House for a UFC fight?

"Dude, regardless, you're unfortunately the president in 2026. You're the president of the United States right now with awesome and august responsibility. That's who you are right now." Ben Meiselas reacts to the absurdity of Donald Trump lashing out at Kristen Welker over the 2020 election.

Charlie Angus: There was a group of young Normandy students, and two young teenage girls read a poem in French to the commemoration ceremonies and to the immense field of the dead. And she said, "We are the children that you never had. We are the children of liberty." And there wasn't a dry eye in the house, but I always remember because Charles Scott Brown, in his 90s, stood up. And he broke protocol, of course, and he said to those young girls, "Don't cry for any man in this field. They came to free you, and they would do it again if they were asked." That's what we come from. That is [Canada's] legacy. Do you think that we're going to let the likes of Pete Hoekstra push us around, or Donald Trump and his predator government threaten us? That's what we represent.

Katie Phang on the murder of 60 Minutes: "What the Ellisons have done to CBS has now transcended just being a red flag — it is a huge honking warning sign of what is to come to CNN. And look, you may not be a fan of CNN, but we should always be rooting for the independence of our media. And yet we've seen time and time again, mainstream legacy media bending the knee and capitulating to the demands of a fucking toddler in the White House."

Ben Meiselas breaks down a MeidasTouch Network exclusive on the safety hazards posed by the UFC structure on the White House lawn. A pilot described the lighting as 10 times worse than any laser illumination event they had ever experienced — overwhelming their vision on approach. "This incident did not involve lasers," the pilot emphasized. "It involved powerful white event lighting that created a similar and potentially more dangerous effect."

Charlie Angus: It's been amazing since we started the MeidasCanada Network. Nobody ever really noticed anybody from Canada, unless we were Neil Young or Mike Myers. But I think there's a real searching right now as we are in such uncertain times and people are watching Canada and people are listening to what's happening. So the MeidasCanada viewership has developed a strong hold around the world. What we're trying to do is build that conversation — a conversation across borders, across the United States, across Europe, across Asia — about democracy. And Canada, I think right now, plays a role in it in a very significant way.

Paikin: [Former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien] said we should give the highest civilian honor that this country has, namely the Order of Canada, to Donald Trump because he's done such a great job unifying Canadians against him and against the rapacious appetite of the United States right now. What do you think of that idea? Angus: Well, I certainly wouldn't give anything to Donald Trump except maybe an indictment to go to The Hague.

Former MAGA leader Rich Logis on Leaving MAGA: "We have more people than ever who are in MAGA contacting us asking for help leaving ... we need to give people an exit ramp and an off-ramp and a new destination. And that's what we're doing with our organization."

Meiselas: Donald Trump's decision making tree is the dumbest worst that there is. This is why he bankrupts everything he freaking touches. Go look at his past. The guy doesn't build shit. He bankrupts everything over and over again. You couldn't script a worse way to play this out. If you think the lesson to be learned is another air campaign, if you think that was the lesson, that you do just an air campaign and you're going to do Iranian regime change, or they're going to say, "Oh my God, they're attacking us again by air. Donald, what do you want? What do you want in the deal, man? Oh, now we're going to negotiate with—" No, there's no chance of a deal right now.
