BREAKING: Georgia Fort’s 17-year-old daughter and husband spoke out today at a press conference, calling for her immediate release after she was detained by federal agents this morning. “My mom is being arrested for documenting what happened at City Church. And this is wrong. This goes against her First Amendment right as a journalist. And it’s being challenged today. She is not a protester. She is not an activist. She is a mom working to provide for her children through the only way she knows how, documenting and sharing stories of the community and the truth of what’s happening here every day in our state.” Fort is an independent journalist who has spent years reporting on issues impacting Minnesota communities. Her family says she was doing her job. Nothing more. They are demanding accountability and her immediate release. 📸:

Missing 3 Tribal Members Not Found at Whipple Building Attorney Chase Iron Eyes spoke today after Oglala Sioux Tribe leaders and supporters went into the Fort Snelling Whipple Building trying to locate three tribal citizens still missing in ICE custody. Leaders were told the three members were not there. The men are also U.S. citizens and it raised concerns that officials are not recognizing their nationality. TEAR GAS DEPLOYED WHILE AGENTS EXIT SCENE Today federal agents hit a vehicle in an intersection, then tried to turn around and arrest the driver they collided with. More agents flooded the area as a crowd formed and the situation escalated. Tear gas was deployed multiple times. One person was hit directly in the face with pepper spray. Agents then drove recklessly out of the area and nearly hit someone while leaving the scene. Our streets are not safer. (South Minneapolis 35th + Park) 📸:
