One of my favorite stories from our last night in Tokyo happened just before Charlie was supposed to take the stage. A local pastor pulled him aside and cautioned him about talking too much about Christianity. “Japan is not a particularly a Christian country.” So, naturally, one of the first things Charlie did when he walked on stage was proclaim the name of Jesus Christ. He told the crowd how important his faith was to him and made no attempt to water it down. And instead of getting upset or walking out, the crowd cheered. That was Charlie. It didn’t matter what country he was in, who was in the audience, or whether proclaiming his faith was considered popular. He was never going to hide the most important part of who he was.

Almost a year ago 🇺🇸 Charlie Kirk organized 50+ pastors to pray over President Trump - just two weeks before the election. That prayer took place right before Trump had back-to-back rallies hosted by Charlie and Turning Point Action. Charlie and Turning Point worked tirelessly to get President Trump elected.

I woke up this morning and the first thought in my mind was, “It’s officially been a year.” For the past year, my phone has constantly shown me “one year ago today” memories with Charlie. A flight we were on. A campus or church we were at. A conversation we had. A hilarious moment I’d forgotten about. Funny videos. So many memories. Almost every day, there was another reminder of where we were and what we were doing together exactly one year before. But this morning… I realized I won’t have those anymore. There is no longer going to be a “one year ago today” with Charlie waiting for me tomorrow. It’s officially been a year. This realization hit me so unbelievably hard. My heart is broken. For the last 365 days, those memories have felt like little windows back into a life that somehow still felt close enough to touch. Now the calendar keeps moving, even though part of me so wishes it wouldn’t. I’m longing for and looking to the reunion of eternity with our Savior. Where nothing, not even time, can ever separate again. I’m incredibly grateful for every photo, every video, every text, every trip, every ordinary moment I didn’t know at the time would become something I clung to and treasured so deeply. I miss my friend. I miss him so beyond explanation. Today, more than anything, I’m just so grateful to God I got to know him.

I can’t believe this trip to Asia with Charlie was a year ago… It was 5:15 AM local time and we were just walking around. Charlie was blown away by how clean, safe, orderly, and beautiful South Korea was. He kept saying, “America could be just as clean and beautiful.” He loved seeing what was possible when a country took pride in its communities and public spaces. It was such a testament to how much Charlie loved America… That even on the other side of the world, he was always thinking about how to make America better.

One year ago today Charlie had a Campus tour stop at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. When he found out there were thousands of people waiting but no more seats left, he went outside and took a photo with every person who couldn’t get in. Charlie was an amazing man.

One year ago, on September 6th, Charlie was asked to come on stage in Seoul, South Korea, where thousands of Korean Christians prayed over him and thanked the Lord for his life and his work. Then, together, they sang “How Great Is Our God.” I’ll never forget watching Charlie take it all in. For someone who spent so much of his life speaking to massive crowds, this moment was different. He wasn’t there to give a speech or make a political argument. He was simply standing among thousands of fellow believers, worshiping the Lord. Afterward, on our way to the airport, Charlie looked at me and said, “Wow, that was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.” I think about those words a lot now. Halfway around the world, surrounded by thousands of people worshiping in a different language, Charlie still knew the song. Different country, different language, different culture, but the same words, the same faith, and the same God.

These videos are nearly a year apart, filmed in the exact same place. First with Charlie and RFK, now with Erika walking without him. Same spot, completely different circumstances. It is emotional to return to these places, but we feel Charlie’s spirit so tangibly. Erika is literally walking the same footsteps to honor her husband.

In May 2025, Turning Point Action held a rally for Andy Biggs; 16 months before the primary, and Charlie had the game plan: “Our movement will not slow down. It’s bigger than an election. It’s going to keep on going and going and going. It’s bigger than just November.” Still the plan. Biggs for AZ Governor!

Charlie Kirk and RFK backstage at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Reminiscing about the last time they were there together - when Turning Point Action hosted a Trump rally where RFK publicly endorsed President Trump. Charlie and RFK did 2 events at this stadium, and a year later, Charlie’s memorial would be hosted across the street - and Desert Diamond Arena would be used as overflow seating.
