There’s always that one journalist who hasn’t read the peace agreement and asks Trump when Rwandan troops will “withdraw” from Congo, by which I assume she means the lifting of Rwanda’s defensive measures. Trump gave her a cryptic answer: “Things are going to happen, very quickly.” A clear hint that he understands those measures can only be lifted once the FDLR is neutralised. Still, the whole scene was hilarious.😂

President Kagame is a leader widely admired for his clarity of thought & disciplined leadership. In 2024, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem reflected on him, saying: “I listen a lot to your Pres, Paul Kagame. I learned a lot by listening to the way he expresses himself. He is experienced; he really represents not just Rwanda but Africa.” The remarks highlight the respect Kagame commands beyond politics, extending into international leadership circles where his communication style and experience are often cited as influential.

"The DRC made one strategic mistake: its various leaderships built an anti-Rwanda, especially anti-Tutsi, narrative to gain legitimacy. Rwanda could equally have the same reasons to do the same against the Congolese, but we do not. We do not demonize them". -Rtd Gen Kabarebe

“Presideng Kagame is the greatest leader in the world. I know many leaders, but never said the same about Mandela or Nyerere. I met Mobutu a few times; I’ve seen them all.” -Michael Fairbanks, member of Kagame’s advisory council, who worked with several world leaders, including Fidel Castro &some of those he mentioned.

President Kagame’s leadership continues to inspire young people across the continent. At the Africa Food Systems Forum 2025 in Dakar, a young woman from Djibouti told him: “From a young age, I have really admired you for your work on women’s rights. You have done so much for Rwandan women, and even more widely for African women.” African Umutoni wa Senyange❤️🇷🇼 Sir. Uracyaryamye Tito Hare Ishimwe Heritier Rutimirwa Geofrey

My respected President’s wisdom has always been remarkable. 🔥 During the Rwandan Liberation War, a journalist once asked whether his forces planned to take Gitarama or Kigali first. With his characteristic sharpness, he simply replied: “That remains my secret.” At that moment, he was alongside General Roméo Dallaire.
