🏆 Just a bunch of guys who happen to be NBA Champions. The Knicks stopped by the Today Show this morning, but instead of looking like a team carrying the weight of New York on their shoulders, they looked like a group of friends cracking jokes and enjoying every second of this championship run. Safe to say they’re having a good week 🥹🫶🧡💙

I’ve lived in New York for years and I’ve never seen this before. ⚡️ The sky was completely dark, but the same spot kept flashing over and over again with no thunder that I could hear. My best guess is distant lightning from a storm far enough away that the thunder isn’t reaching the city, but I’ve honestly never watched it happen like this before. Does anyone know if that’s what we’re looking at, or is there another explanation? 👀

Stepping directly onto the set of HBO's The Gilded Age in Manhattan today, and the production scale is absolutely mind-blowing. To completely transform modern New York City back to the 1880s, the crew laid down massive textured carpets over the asphalt to perfectly mimic historic stone streets. There are over 350 background actors fully dressed in period-accurate costumes, alongside dozens of real horse-drawn carriages filling the block. It is incredible to see how much physical craftsmanship goes into creating just a few moments of television magic.

New York City just got a taste of global superstardom 🗽🇯🇵 Despite the weather, the official live-action cast behind one of the world’s most in-demand anime franchises made a rare U.S. appearance at the Japan Parade ⚔️🌧️ The cast even recreated scenes from Jujutsu Kaisen live in the middle of Manhattan, bringing the Guinness World Record-breaking phenomenon to life in front of NYC crowds. In 2024, Guinness World Records officially named Jujutsu Kaisen the world’s “most in-demand animated TV show” 🎬🙌

This might be the most adorable thing in Central Park 🦝🥹 I promised Mika that we’d go to Central Park and try to find raccoons, and somehow we hit the jackpot ❤️ Not only did we spot a mother raccoon peeking out of a tree, but two curious babies kept popping their heads out to see what was going on below 🥹🌳 Raccoons are mostly nocturnal, so seeing a mom and her babies like this felt extra special. One of those magical New York City moments we’ll be talking about for a long time 🦝✨

Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw spotted arriving at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City 🎬❤️ The longtime couple stopped to wave to fans and photographers before heading inside. It’s not often you catch Spielberg and Capshaw together on the streets of NYC, making this a special sighting for everyone waiting outside ✨

Kathleen Turner, 71, arrives at the NYC premiere of Angel Studios’ Animal Farm 🎬🥰 Photographers call out “Miss Turner! Miss Turner!” She smiles, “You’ll got the message didn’t you?” Just weeks ago at the Peaky Blinders premiere, she told them she prefers to be called Miss Turner… and tonight, they remembered 🥹💞 And the cool thing is… I was there for both moments 😉

Mayor Zohran Mamdani says Thursday’s Knicks championship parade could become the largest parade in New York City history 🏆 Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani Speaking about the celebration, the Mayor said fans should arrive as early as possible and noted that the city expects massive crowds as New Yorkers celebrate the Knicks’ first championship in more than 50 years. Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani The ticker-tape parade begins this Thursday at 10:00 AM near Battery Park and will travel north along Broadway through the Canyon of Heroes before ending at City Hall. “It really feels like it was written in the stars,” Mamdani said, pointing to the Knicks defeating the Spurs 4-1, the same team that beat the Knicks in the 1999 NBA Finals. 🏀 These special “Champions Way” street signs in Knicks blue and orange are being made right now for New York’s championship parade! Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani x NYC DOT Today I got a behind-the-scenes look inside NYC DOT’s Sign Shop in Queens, where Kate and her team are creating 40 custom signs that will line the parade route through the Canyon of Heroes. Kate walked me through the entire process, printing the design to mounting it on metal, and even presented one of the finished signs to Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The Knicks championship ticker-tape parade is set for Thursday at 10:00 AM, beginning near Battery Park and traveling north along Broadway through the Canyon of Heroes before ending at City Hall. Would you hang a blue-and-orange Champions Way sign in your home? 🏀🧡💙👇

In a New York minute ⏰ Located in Tribeca, New York City's only mechanical sidewalk clock has been keeping time for the neighborhood for the past six years and still has to be hand wound every week. Today I got a behind-the-scenes look at the process and took part in a new project called It's About Time, where a different New Yorker is invited each week to help wind the clock and share their thoughts on time. Thank you to Megan Marod for the nomination, and thank you to Tory Weil and the team for having me and introducing me to this unique piece of NYC history ❤️ What's your New York minute?
