I lost count of the number of times in the Situation Room where I asked Dr. Fauci if it might be possible that this came from a lab leak in Wuhan. And he assured me over and over again that couldn't have come from a lab. I always suspected that Covid-19 came from a lab. I’m troubled that we have not held China accountable for a virus that cost the lives of millions of people around the world.

Visiting Ukraine today, 4 1/2 years after the brutal and unprovoked invasion by Russia, I sense that the Ukrainians’ steely will and commitment to defend their freedom is even greater today then when the Russian tanks first rolled. Ukraine is winning this War. With the right support of America and Our Allies, the brave Ukrainian people can achieve a victory for freedom for themselves and the Free World.🇺🇸🇺🇦

Great to be on Fox & Friends this morning with my friend Brian Kilmeade to discuss my recent trip to Ukraine. At their National Prayer Breakfast, I was deeply inspired by the faith and resolve of the Ukrainian people after another week of brutal attacks by the Russian military. Ukraine just marked 35 years since the fall of the Soviet Union. They have supported and defended their freedom every day since. Ukraine is Winning this War. And I believe Ukraine will never surrender their freedom to Russia’s war machine and deserve the support of America and the Free World.🇺🇸🇺🇦

I don’t know why Joe Biden is doing press conferences in the Rose Garden talking about something other than America’s role as leader of the free world. If I was President of the United States, I’d have the team in the Situation Room and direct the Joint Special Operations Command to stand up special forces and have them immediately be prepared to deploy into Gaza.

On this fifth anniversary of January 6th, I wanted to pass along remarks I made about that fateful day at the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award ceremony last year. I first spoke about the men and women in uniform- the true heroes that day; how I will always believe that, by God’s grace, I did my duty to see to the peaceful transfer of power under the Constitution and I expressed my heartfelt gratitude to the countless Americans of every background who have reached out with a word of encouragement these past five years. January 6 was a tragic day but it became a triumph of freedom when, after Capitol Police quelled the violence, leaders in both chambers in both political parties reconvened the very same day and finished democracy’s work under the Constitution. The Constitution is the common ground on which we stand. In these divided times, I believe more than ever that on that common ground we will forge a boundless future together and America’s best days are yet to come. So Help Us God. According to language that has been reported about MOU with Iran, there is: 🔴 NO mention of dismantling the nuclear program or the ballistic missile program. 🔴 NO commitment to ending support for Hamas, Hezbollah, or other terrorist organizations But remarkably, the MOU with Iran reportedly includes: 🔴Immediate sanctions relief from the moment the MOU is signed. This means $3 BILLION a month into the coffers of Iran. 🔴A pledge of $100 billion in Iranian frozen assets being freed up based only on “progress” in negotiations 🔴The U.S. & others to arrange for a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran. The reported MOU with Iran smacks of the kind of appeasement that we saw during the Obama years, the kind of appeasement that Joe Biden tried to accomplish and was ignored by the Iranians, and the kind of appeasement we categorically rejected during the first Trump administration.

The Trump-Pence years really changed the national consensus on China. We imposed $250 billion in tariffs on China. They're there to this day. China is the exception. Trade abusers are the exception. Ultimately, American businesses and American consumers pay American tariffs. That's fundamental economics. Most Hoosiers understand that what we make here, what we grow here, we sell to the world. President Trump deserves great credit for making a decision for the first time in modern history to unleash the armed forces of the United States against Iran last year and this year… But I do have very real concerns about the MOU now that we see what’s In it and also what’s Not In It. This MOU with Iran does smack of the kind of appeasement that our administration rejected in the Obama-Iran nuclear deal and also when Joe Biden attempted to return to the politics of appeasement during his administration. I would urge the President to take a step back, continue the blockade and pursue a negotiated settlement that commits Iran to dismantling their nuclear program, dismantling this missile program, ends support for terrorist proxies and opens the strait. Failing that, we should let our Armed Forces finish the job on our terms.
