Aidan Miller doubles to the corner in his first AB for Clearwater, a 109.1 mph bullet

Wyalusing leading Athens, 35-30, in the final bout of their District 4 Duals first round match. Athens’ Mason Vanderpool scores fall with 22 seconds to go to give Athens a 36-35 win. Official deducts team point from Athens for celebration coming on mat. Wyalusing wins on criteria

Phillies second round pick Caden Bogenpohl drives a hanging slider to the tune of 104.6 mph and 396 feet for a double in his first pro AB for Clearwater

Will Gasparino’s first professional hit is a rocket of a grand slam to break the game open for Clearwater. The Phillies’ fifth round pick turns on a 95 mph sinker and hits it 397 feet at 107.4 mph

So here is the entire final sequence from the Easton/Nazareth match along with the unsportsmanlike conduct section of the rulebook. I just don’t know if it’s a mandatory unsportsmanlike and a team point, or if there is discretion allowed by the official.

Caden Bogenpohl’s first pro homer finishes off a seven-pitch AB and gives Clearwater a 2-0 lead. It goes 393 feet at 102.4 mph for the second round pick

Two more hits today for Phillies 17-year old prospect Francisco Renteria. He singled at 105.8 mph up the middle in the third, and tripled to the right-center gap at 102.6 mph in the ninth. I got him at 11.92 seconds first to third despite pulling up going into third

Phillies 13th-round pick Brayden Bakes hits a moonshot for his first pro hit, a 429-foot solo home run at 106.6 mph gives Clearwater a 3-0 lead

Holy Gabriel Rincones Jr. In the second game of his rehab stint in Clearwater, Rincones unloads on a cutter up to the tune of 496 feet for a 2-run home run. Yup, 496 feet according to the broadcast.

Just a reminder, Nick …

Home run #5 for Francisco Renteria gets the DSL Phillies in front, 4-0. Renteria’s 2-run shot hit at 104 mph gives him 26 RBIs and 42 runs scores in 33 games. He’s 2 for 2 through two innings today

Great re-attack and finish on the edge in short time from Brandt Harer on his way to a 4-1 win over #3 Greyson Music … Win #202 for Harer puts him 4 behind Aaron Seidel’s record

Francisco Renteria goes opposite field at 101 mph for his first professional home run. Renteria, 17, who was signed by the Phillies for $4 million, picked up his first extra-base hit since June 6

Titan Hayes needed fewer than 2 minutes and just 6 pitches for a clean ninth inning for his second save of the season for Clearwater. Hayes threw just two fastballs tonight but topped out at 98.2 mph

Gabriel Rincones Jr had some kind of day in Lehigh Valley’s win. He went 3 for 5 with a double and RBI, hit three balls at 110 mph or fast, another over 100 mph, and threw out a runner at third from right field

How about Southern Columbia grad Gavin Garcia making #3 on Sportscenter’s top plays for this touchdown run with The Citadel

Nazareth’s Cooper Wenrich with a massive upset, trailing #2 Gabe Ballard 13-0, Wenrich gets a reversal into a headlock to get the fall and the win for the Blue Eagles. A tech fall from Ballard would have won the dual for Northampton PA Power Wrestling

Phillies prospect Yilmar Samudio made his pro debut today for the DSL Phillies, throwing 3 perfect innings. Samudio, 17, sat 94-96, T98 in the first two innings and 92-93 in the third. He showed real feel for an upper 70s curveball. Impressive debut for Samudio

Gage Wood breaks out Uncle Charlie for his fourth strikeout as his finishes a clean second inning
