Units of the Somali National Armed Forces, led by Gen. Jimcaale and deployed from the city of Garowe, have arrived in Laascaanood. The units will take part in maintaining overall security and in preparations for the official reception of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and Commander-in-Chief of the Somali Armed Forces, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, who are expected to arrive in Laascaanood. The city of Laascaanood will host the inauguration ceremony of the President and the administration of the North Eastern State of Somalia.
