The SADC region is moving from potential to production, from resources to value addition, and from commitments to results. The President was received at King Shaka International Airport by, the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Ms Anna Tandi Moraka, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Prof. dr. Amon Murwira and Zimbabwe’s Ambassador South Africa Mr. Lovemore Mazemo. The Summit will provide an important platform to advance regional industrialisation, infrastructure development, agriculture, critical minerals, economic integration, and peace and security. Zimbabwe remains committed to strengthening regional value chains, expanding intra-African trade, and ensuring that SADC integration translates into tangible economic opportunities for people across the region

At the invitation of the Government of Portugal, the Zimbabwe delegation, which is campaigning for the country’s non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council, attended the Portuguese campaign event in New York City this Thursday, as Portugal is also vying for a non-permanent seat on the Security Council.
