Last May, turtles laid eggs at multiple locations on Kuramathi Resort Island in the Maldives. This is an annual occurrence, with nesting typically taking place between May and October each year. The resort’s ECO Center protected the nests. Recently, the eggs hatched and hundreds of baby turtles made their way to the ocean. We wish them a safe and happy life in the Maldives' oceans and beyond. Catching turtles is illegal in the Maldives. The Maldives generates revenue by giving locals and tourists the opportunity to watch them in their natural habitat.
