The entire govt machinery of KP, rescue & emergency equipment being sent to facilitate a protest. I am a firm believer that in democracy people will simply vote out this irresponsible behaviour, but I’m starting to doubt that. Sympathies with people of KP

On 8th Feb 2023, Syed Baqir Alhussaini’s car hit Sulaiman Babar’s motorbike, dragging him several meters and killing him on the spot. Driver was most likely drunk as suggested by his social media posts. Family despite being devastated wanted to forgive the driver but upon meeting him, they found that Syed Baqir showed no remorse of his actions. In fact the Baqir was laughing cracking jokes. The family of victim pursued legal action. After several rounds of police investigation and court procedures, Driver Syed Baqir’s bail was cancelled in September 2023 but he ran away from the court. Islamabad Police has been unable to carry out the arrest of the driver Baqir in following 6 months. Family of the slain driver says the culprit continues to enjoy his life, posting on social media about racing cars and rash driving again, allegedly being protected by a PPP leader Sajid Turi. Family of the slain driver wants court orders to be implemented and arrest of accused carried out to make roads safe for rest of the users as well #JusticeforSulaimanBabar
