Last year, I approached my dear & amazing friend, Agriculture Secretary Secretary Brooke Rollins Brooke Rollins, with an idea: as part of our nationwide Freedom 250 celebrations, we should honor farms that have been tended by the same family for 250 years or more. After all, it is these multi-generational family farmers who have fed - and led - us since the American Revolution, and in some cases, even before 1776. The idea came to me after years of seeing my hardworking friends Round Swamp Farm in East Hampton, NY proudly say that they were a "National Bicentennial Farm." They shared how thrilled they were to have been honored by the Ford Administration's Legacy Family Farm Program 50 years before, during our Bicentennial Celebration in 1976. I called Secretary Rollins and asked her if the Trump Administration could resurrect that Program THIS YEAR, for our Semiquincentennial - America's 250th birthday. She immediately loved the idea and got the Dept. of Agriculture ball rolling. In partnership with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), USDA worked tirelessly to create the American Family Farm Legacy 250 Program, honoring farms that have been worked by the same family for 100, 150, 200 and 250+ years. At the Great American State Fair this summer, we honored some of these families on the National Mall. It was such a joy to join the Secretary and NASDA as we saluted their integral part in our nation's history, strength and exceptionalism. Hugest THANK YOU to my incredible friend Brooke and her fantastic team at USDA for helping to turn my idea into the most exciting reality for these wonderful farmers and patriots. Their legacy is America's legacy. God bless them 🧑🏼🌾🚜🌾🇺🇸💚

I was courtside for the NBA Finals Game last night MSG. The outcome for us NEW YORK KNICKS fans was unfortunate but tomorrow is another day! And BTW, a HUGE CHEER went up for President Donald J. Trump along with big USA! USA! chants. Don’t listen to the liars & dingbats. GO KNICKS! 💙🧡
