Death heads hawkmoths (all 3 variants of it) evolved the pretty interesting trait of showing signs of aggression when under stress, we assume this is due to their survival relying on stealing honey directly from the bees where flying away is impossible The deathheads have been shown to try to "intimidate" bigger foes instead of fleeing and even attack it's own peers when under stress, something I havent really seen any other moth do While ive seen moths flail their frontlegs around, ive never seen any that did it with the intent to fight/push someone away

The baphomet moth, the moth that crawled out of hell It's a disturbing red tiger moth from australia that has inflatable tentacles coming out of it's abdomen, the male is the only one to have these tentacles and theyre called "coremata". The hair on them spreads pheromones and helps moths find each other It fascinates me how it's able to just inflate it's coremata at will, they can fully retract them into it's body when they don't need it out Not even moths are safe from australia's curse that turn bugs creepy and huge, australia truly is a fascinating place

$Moths dont emerge from their cocoon with their wings developed, they have to manually inflate them after hatching using the excess liquid they have in their abdomen This is a extremely delicate process and failure to do this a few hours after hatching will cause a moth to not be able to fly whatsoever as their wings would have hardened (This part of their life is very important to take in mind when raising caterpillars, as if you aren't ready for it the moth is very likely to be hurt) This also has the hilarious effect of the moths sometimes looking obese from how large their abdomen is Video is by @\StatedClearly on youtube, their video has the best showcase + short explanation of the inflating process and I couldn't even dream of explaining it this simply if I could. Please support the original creator$

Random thought I had I feel like the insect equivalent of puppygirls/catboys are moth/bee boys/girls, the two are associated together so often by random artists that I feel like theyre connected now A fun little thing I like to do is when I see moth artists I try to see if they have a bee oc of any kind, if you start doing this youll see a pattern ---- Anyways ⚙️Generating Perfect Moth Heaven Tweet🤖 ..Your tweet is.. moth
