Yaxel Lenderborg on his NBA debut and guarding Luka: "I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me... Being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect. That was awful" Transcript of this soundbite: "Yeah, it was interesting. I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me, for sure. I had a lot of respect for him (Luka). You know, just watching. I didn't really watch the NBA much, I just watched highlights. Seeing him, you know, kill people all the time. But then being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like that was awful. Like me getting frustrated, it's not about the foul being called, it's about him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul call, congratulations bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great, bro? Come on, dog. That's just weak. It kinda threw me off for a little while, cause you know, like I said, I had so much respect for him. Gone man, gone. I was telling him he sucks, he can't score on me. You talking and you can't score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words obviously, you know, that's why I got the technical and all that. But I was letting him know, because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call. His only bucket on me was a banker from half court. Like I know that it's a team sport. You know, he had 28pts on us as a team. Me, I took my matchup personally. Tried not to get caught on the fouls. Tried my best. I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked, probably would've still got a foul call." Transcript via:

Adam Silver answers Pablo Torre's question regarding the growing concern that wealthy individuals and entities are using the approval of the NBA to purchase credibility in the eyes of the public (meaning, fans), and whether he plans on changing anything about the due diligence process because of recent events (Mark Walter and Steve Ballmer).

Jaime Jaquez Jr. on being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks: "You know, I was told that you're not really in the NBA until you get traded. So this is, I guess, my 'Welcome to the NBA', 'Welcome to Milwaukee'. You know, I've been doing my best to get acclimated within the community. Go around town, go to different restaurants, meet different people. Every time I take my dog on a walk, I get people, you know, walking out and saying, "Go Bucks! Go Bucks!", so I feel a lot of love here, and I really appreciate the city embracing. You know, myself, you know, Tyler (Herro), Kel'el (Ware), and Kas (Kasparas Jakučionis). We're all really happy to be here and just, you know, doing what we can to make our mark here.

Maxime Raynaud goes down holding his right knee and he is in a lot of pain, and has to be wheeled off the court The announcer say it was a non-contact injury, but I think Steph Curry hit him just a bit, and I think his kneecap moved (It's harder to see because of the black cover he wears) PRAYERS UP FOR RAYNAUD

Charles Barkley: "I think we need to all pray for Wemby." Kenny Smith: "Why?" Barkley: "Because he can't play too many minutes, they are gonna kill him out there." Smith: "You're joking." Barkley: "I'm damn sure joking 'cause you guys -- these people, they are pissing me off. I'm watching the whole games. They (OKC) ain't playing dirty, and I'm like: 'These are some of the softest fouls I've ever seen in my life' You got these clowns on TV talking about: "They are gonna hurt poor Wemby." I was like: 'Hurt him? Are you really kidding, man?' It drives me crazy watching these shows".

JJ Redick talks about racism: “My parents are the most empathetic allies you could ever have. That’s the environment I grew up in. But some of the people I was around thought differently. The area I grew up in was different. There’s stands with Confederate flags everywhere. I was always aware of this shit” Via The Pivot Podcast - Pivot Podcast

Victor Wembanyama when asked in French about what needs to happen to stop being a reactionary team who only finds solutions after running into problems "Definitely. I completely agree. I think it's due to both our lack of experience and our youth, especially since we're playing against experienced teams. To me, the two best examples are Minnesota and New York. They understand how fortunate they are to be in the Finals, and they know it's not guaranteed they'll ever get another chance like this. As for us, we're kind of like spoiled kids. For some of us, it's our first season-or one of our first seasons -and we're already in the Finals. We don't fully realize it yet. And to me, the team that appreciates the position we're in the most will be the one that wins." Via the Redditor u/Jec1027:

Alperen Sengun on Deni Avdija (the relations between Turkey and Israel are on all-time low): "You know, I think that those stuff are a lot bigger than ours. We just going to represent our country, here, you know - the best we can. Deni is the same harder worker (as me). You know, great guy, great person. One of my good friends in this league. And like I said those stuff are a lot bigger than our stuff. We are just here doing what we love, and other stuff is out of our control. And hopefully, you know, of course basketball is the thing hopefully bring everyone love, and stay together - that's what we are here for. And like I said, the other stuff is out of our control, and hopefully, you know, it's all got into peace in all world, and that's all we wanted." Via Yoav Modai
