tore out our hearts and souls for you to make this one 💋 thank you for loving salvation as hard as i do. major gratitude to all of the producers and writers who were crucial in piecing every song in this project together. i’ve never had so much fun creating + have ever been so fulfilled in making something i’ve believed in this much. i knew from the last days of february in 2023 that chris, lauren, marcus and i wrote tears in my pocket + do you even think about me b2b that i was headed on a journey of discovering a kind of creative truth that’d never leave me the same. come july of that year we sat down again in london to write salvation - i word id been hyperfixated on reclaiming and spent the hour long tube ride over to the studio thinking about what it could mean as a big ol’ gay anthem. fast forward a year later when jesse, nick and i sat down to finish on american doll and ended up writing sugar water in what felt like minutes - truly every single song on this project bleeds so much love and labor and passion for what we get to do. thank you for your belief and dedication marcus andersson, Lauren Aquilina Chris Lyon 𝔧𝔢𝔰𝔰𝔢 𝔰𝔞𝔦𝔫𝔱 𝔧𝔬𝔥𝔫 Nick Weiss ZHONE NOVODOR Stint medium, em walcott Johan Lenox Lars Stalfors, and john greenham tomorrow we take salvation on the road, and you’re not fucking ready for what’s in store 💝
