Protecting Mt. Juliet is our mission every single day. If you have followed our work, you may have noticed that the overwhelming majority of suspects who commit crimes in Mt. Juliet travel here from outside our city. That is why our officers remain proactive and vigilant. Our goal is simple. Stop criminals before they create victims in our community. And if a crime does occur, our team works quickly and diligently to identify, locate, and apprehend those responsible. We are committed to protecting not only the residents of Mt. Juliet, but also the visitors who come here and the businesses that help our community thrive. Through innovation, strong partnerships, and a commitment to service, we continue working to safeguard Mt. Juliet and everyone who spends time here. We are not one of the safest cities around by accident. Thank you to our community for your continued support. An innovative tool will soon transform our emergency response in Mt. Juliet—Live 911. As soon as someone dials 911, officers in the field receive an immediate alert, the caller’s GPS location, and instant live one-way audio of the conversation between the caller and the communications center. This gives our officers real-time awareness of the situation—before the call is even dispatched—and allows for a faster, more informed response. We’ll know someone needs help even sooner, allowing us to respond more quickly and be on scene when every second counts. In just two weeks, Live 911 through our Flock Safety – Safe City Initiative will be fully implemented across the entire department. We're constantly working to enhance safety and raise the level of service we deliver to our community—and this is another example of what’s possible through the strong support of our residents and City leaders. There wasn't a dry eye in sight this afternoon as we gave our final goodbye to Chief James Hambrick, following 28 years of proudly serving within out Mt. Juliet Police Department. His legacy will forever live in our culture and we can say with certainty he has elevated MJPD to new heights because of his leadership. For that we will forever be indebted to Chief Hambrick, wife Denise, and his family.
