Did you know that the Clock Tower in Makkah is actually a waqf? Meaning the revenue generated from the hotels and properties goes back to serving Masjid al-Haram and the millions of pilgrims who come to Makkah every year. This is something a lot of people may not know. The purpose behind this project wasn’t just to build hotels and make money. It was established as a waqf so that the revenue continues to benefit the Haram 🕋 and the Muslims for generations to come. May Allah have mercy on the leaders who established it and reward them for the good that continues from it.

For those online saying the Houthis in Yemen, would never attack Makkah or Madinah, here is a Houthi spokesperson openly saying they would attack the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah. He even says that most people don’t have the knowledge or understanding to comprehend why they would do it, while claiming it would somehow be “for the benefit of the Muslims.” It doesn’t get much clearer than this. At this point, any Muslim making excuses for statements like this seriously needs to reflect on what they’re defending. No sincere Muslim would ever want to see Makkah, Madinah, or the Two Holy Mosques attacked or harmed.

Daniel Haqiqatjou For someone who seems so concerned about Makkah, I’m surprised you’ve never even visited to perform Umrah or Hajj. Yet you claim to be so bothered by Starbucks and McDonald’s being in Makkah, while you live comfortably and happily in the very country where Starbucks and McDonald’s were born. Make it make sense.

There’s a growing trend online of so-called “ex-Muslims” using deceptive words, misinformation, and outright lies to try to turn people away from Islam. Time and time again, their claims have been exposed and their lies made clear. You cannot extinguish the truth with falsehood. Those who dedicate themselves to fighting against the religion of Allah will only humiliate themselves in the process.

Just met this brother, Lukas from Switzerland, in the parking lot of Smokey Beards Q. After just a few minutes of conversation, we walked over to the masjid and prayed together. Alhamdulillah for Islam. It represents true brotherhood. No matter our nationality, race, language, or background, we’re united by faith. May Allah keep us firm upon the truth and unite us in Jannah. The scholars explain something beautiful about seeking Allah’s forgiveness. When we say Astaghfirullāh, we’re not only asking Allah to forgive us, we’re also asking Him to cover our sins and protect us from the consequences of them. The word istighfar comes from the Arabic root gh-f-r (غ ف ر), which carries the meaning of forgiveness, covering and protection. Even the word mighfar (مِغْفَر), which was a protective head covering the Arabs would wear in battle, comes from this same root because it covered and protected the head. So when we make istighfar, we’re asking Allah for His maghfirah: May Allah forgive us, cover our sins and protect us from the consequences of them. May Allah make us from those who constantly seek His forgiveness over and over again.

When I first became Muslim in 2002, I placed a picture of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on the wall inside of my prayer room at home, and I would make du‘a asking Allah to bless me to visit Madinah and Makkah one day, alhamdulillah I never imagined years later, that I will be living in Saudi Arabia and with the opportunity to visit both holy places multiple times. Never underestimate supplications to Allah. Alhamdulillah for Allah’s kindness and mercy. May Allah make us among the grateful, forgive our sins and grant us a good ending.

Alhamdulillah, thousands fleeing war in #Sudan have safely reached Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government has provided them with shelter,food, allowing them to stay until the conflict ends so they can return home safely. May Allah bring peace and stability back to the land of Sudan

“Which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?” Qur’an 55:13 Alhamdulillah. Hijrah ain’t easy, but it’s worth it especially when you see the blessings of it reflected in your children. Arabic is the language of the Quran, my journey with the language may be a little longer than others, but I’m grateful every time I hear my children speaking arabic. May Allah make us righteous, bless us with righteous children, grant us firmness upon His deen, and make us among those who are grateful for His blessings.

Masjid in Puerto Rico Update 🇵🇷 By the mercy of Allah, we have officially purchased land in Puerto Rico for the masjid. The location we chose is Mayagüez. Our goal is to build a masjid as Sadaqah Jariyah for my deceased parents, my brother Kamil, Mustafa, Aunt Fawzia, and Wahib.
