APC SUPPORT GROUP INAUGURATION SHOWS "RENEWED HOPE AGENDA" IS WORKING - GANDUJE Former Governor of Kano State and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, says the large turnout at the inauguration of the Tinubu Support Group 37 Coordination in Kano State is an indication that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is gaining widespread support in Kano and Nigeria as a whole. Ganduje stated this during the inauguration of the group in Kano, where he describes President Tinubu as a progressive leader with a clear vision for the sustainable development of Nigeria.

"While recognising South Africa's sovereign right to enforce immigration laws and acknowledging its contributions to the continent, Nigeria stresses that such attacks undermine Africa's solidarity, unity and peaceful coexistence and require urgent collective action. NIGERIA DEVELOPES YAM AND CASSAVA HEAP-MAKING MACHINE Nigeria has taken a major step forward in agricultural mechanization with the successful production of its first heavy-duty equipment designed to create heaps for yam and cassava farming. The prototype machine, which is now undergoing field tests, was developed by the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM) in collaboration with a Chinese firm.

NDLEA NABS SOCIAL INFLUENCER AND SUSPECTED DRUG KINGPIN KC LUXURY; RECOVERS EXOTIC VEHICLES AT BANANA ISLAND LAGOS The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says it has dismantled a major international cocaine trafficking cartel arresting its suspected kingpin and social media influencer popularly known as “KC Luxury.” The operation followed the seizure of 184.5 kilograms of cocaine worth an estimated N39 billion at a logistics company in Lagos. Investigations led to the arrest of the arrowhead of the cartel posses as a social media influencer and a businessman who deals in gold. He however, allegedly coordinated the Nigerian arm of the cartel and move cocaine from South America through Nigeria to the UK, Europe and Asia, He was arrested at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on August 13 while allegedly attempting to flee to Paris. NDLEA said he was found with €7,750, £2,800 and N100,000, as well as expensive jewellery. Exotic vehicles were also recovered from his luxury apartment on Banana Island. It adds, some members of the syndicate have also been arrested in the United Kingdom, describing the operation as a major success in international cooperation.

NAFDAC COMMENCES ENFORCEMENT OF BAN ON SACHET ALCOHOL, PET BOTTLES BELOW 200ML - PROF. MOJISOLA The Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, says the agency has commenced full enforcement of the ban on alcoholic beverages packaged in sachets and pet bottles below 200 millilitres. Professor Adeyeye stated this while appearing on the Nigeria Television Authority’s, NTA, programme, "Good Morning Nigeria," while responding to questions on the enforcement of the ban on sachet alcoholic drinks.
