Now, cars that park on the opposite side of the road now can be slapped with a neon sticker in addition to a $65 fine. A similar sticker was previously incorporated in parking enforcement, but it was ultimately discontinued in 2012. City Council Member Gale Brewer lead the reinstatement of the stickers as concerns rose over the cleanliness of streets in Manhattan.

Over the past year, MTA buses have been running ads for the Museum of Sex in Manhattan. Recently, the ads have faced backlash, as some residents believe the signage is provocative.
