ADMK had proposed Bharathiyar University land or 99 acres of poramboke land near Rakindo for a cricket stadium. The DMK government identified the Jail land in Ondipudur and proceeded with a PPP model, but no bids were received. Now, Sports Minister Aadhav Arjuna has confirmed the land is with SDAT and said the government will consider requests to set up a cricket stadium. He has also indicated that an Olympic Centre will be developed in Coimbatore. Hopefully, Coimbatore finally gets the world-class sports infrastructure it deserves. 🏏🏟️ #CICS
