The Qatari ministry of defense just put out this public safety announcement: “Photography during wartime is considered a significant security risk because it provides the enemy with actionable intelligence that can be used for strategic advantage. Even a seemingly harmless image can facilitate the identification of precise military coordinates and reveal sensitive geographical locations with high accuracy, ultimately assisting the opposing side in analyzing and selecting targets. As the Ministry of Defense emphasizes, while a civilian may only see a simple picture, the enemy views it as vital information that can compromise national safety and operational security.”
