Ugandan ministers are now deciding what doctors should or shouldn't do. Seriously? Here, a minister is telling a doctor to let mothers push instead of performing a Caesarean section. For context, the doctor is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, while the minister studied Development Studies. Sad. 💔

Anni yatabudde abalimi mu ba’ssawo? I think Namere is now going beyond her mandate. She can't just attack health facilities without fully understanding the realities on the ground, while putting healthcare workers under unnecessary pressure. My concern is that this kind of approach may end up affecting patient care. You can't effectively regulate or criticise what you don't fully understand.

The government has said that medical interns will be paid the same amount, UGX 1,268, 929 which is subject to tax resulting to a net pay of UGX 1 million. To me, this is only a short term solution. What happens to the upcoming cohorts? Shall medical interns have to go on strike every time just to get paid? We must end this cycle once and for all. Let the government scrap the National Health Policy that was sneaked in and come up with a properly drafted, permanent solution to the remuneration and welfare of medical interns. And let’s be clear: the demand is UGX 4 million, not UGX 1 million. We need a lasting solution, not temporary fixes every time doctors and interns protest.

Growing up a child in America doesn’t look so easy like we take it to be. First of all a child of his age, this is not the way to go. You can’t attack your grand parents/ family openly like that in media. I still repeat this, These Daniella kids need Mayanja family more than it may need them. Daniella should know that the world is so small to start detaching her kids off from their original family. Do you think other grand kids get happy in hearing you attack their parents and grand parents? The kids of the Pallaso, Weasle, Humphrey, Ak, etc. And those are the majority. You as Abba having an American citizenship doesn’t give you immunity to wanting their help in future. Lastly, Nayee Musajja. He will have his family. We pray he gets a woman like the mother .
