According to analysts today, Egypt’s attempt to weaponize Djibouti’s ports against Ethiopia could backfire. As Ethiopia deepens its alternatives through Berbera, any pressure on Doraleh may only speed up the shift away from Djibouti. Ismail Omar Guelleh is playing a high-stakes political game that risks dragging the entire region into deeper conflict.

" This 1991 CNN report from Hargeisa, Somaliland, captures the full scale of destruction wrought by aerial bombardment and artillery shelling from Somalia’s Siyad Barre regime — damage that levelled the city entirely. Yet Somaliland’s people refused to surrender." This is the #IsaaqGenocide history that Somalia’s Ambassador denied today and mocked.

I apologize for the video I posted yesterday of #FarahMaalim. I got an edited version. The '5000' he wanted to kill' was not about the Isaaq; he was talking about anti-government protests in #Kenya. Although he was impressing dictatorships such as Siyad Barre and Saddam Hussein, who committed genocide against their people. The man is evil, and if he gets the chance, he will be one of the worse genocidal maniacs in the 21st century.

Ouch: Somalia's President is straight-up calling the people of Eastern Sool in Somaliland 'historically rebellious.' He's name- dropping (mulah Almajnuun) and the president Sharmarke assassination to make his point. The Kicker? Some of Reer-lascanood think he's their pal because they're waving the blue flag. The Hard The Truth: he thinks they're just a bunch of rebels and useful soldiers. Highlighting his opinion matters because it reveals a potential bias and lack of understanding towards the territory he should be trying to annex.
