He’s been hiding in pain for months. That all changed today. Im not sure if we can save the leg as he’s a much older gentleman but we’ll do everything for him. He’s a little nervous. I called him Chunks. Fingers crossed for his tests and treatment in the coming days 🤞

Tank came to us with a huge hernia and internal issues. It was so bad that he couldn't poop / started to lose weight at an extreme rate It took us three operations, six months of rehab, and lots of stress for the vets but going back to see him now 6 months later is priceless ❤️

We often deal with very complex situations and probably none more so than today. About 15 minutes walk deep into the Thai jungle up a mountain we’d been told about some dogs chained up. The story is very murky but we had to act. We brought our vet and animal care team from Happy Doggo up today and tried to assess the situation. We can’t go into it all yet but one boy was especially bad. We had to act and take him away for urgent medical care are we saw him peeing blood, being incredibly thin and some other worrying signs. What blew my mind was how his fear and initial barking turned to gentle love for us. He couldn’t get close enough and it was as if he was asking us to be saver. I called him Spartacus because he has been freed from his chains and although he is very sick we can hopefully grow him up big and strong. There are 2 more dogs there who we are working on and who got full medical care today. The biggest challenge was being so so deep in the jungle that we can’t even get a moped there. I’ll share more about them in the future when I can. That’s ongoing. Little Spartacus only weighs 12kg or 28lbs which is under 50% of what he should be. He is so frail and weak I don’t know how he did the whole walk back with us. I do know that his tail didn’t stop wagging once. Let’s see what more we can do but it’s a good start for day 1 ❤️

The community reached out to us about this lovely little gentle boy today. What we know so far is that he was dumped in a local temple with his brother, who sadly lost his life after being hit by a car. It meant that this gentle little sow was battling on his own, trying to survive with the big dogs and some very painful skin. The good news is that he is in Tinas Hospital and the skin issues are very fixable, along with his bad blood and some other straightforward issues to fix. Yes he does absolutely remind me of little Rodney when he first came in. And for anybody who watches the TV show "Only Fools and Horses", that's why he's called Trigger. The line between life and death is incredibly thin for these street dogs but little Trigger has landed on the right side of things this week. Given his young age I'm very confident he's gonna grow up into a big healthy dog with love and care that we can provide him. After the week we had it's very important to finish the week on a high. There's nothing more fulfilling than saving a little dog's life and altering his future. Trigger will be resting up all weekend and getting his special medicines and creams and I don't think it will be long before he has a big happy smile and a waggy tail on him ❤️
