In an attempt to defuse NewsBusters' studies of their lack of conservative guests, Whoopi introduces Vance by proclaiming: "For 29 seasons, this show has invited thousands of guests with all kinds of diverse points of view. And we have been asking our next guest to join us for a while now. So, we're glad that he has taken us up on the offer today."

Since The View is so highly curated to only allow one political opinion, it's not often that Whoopi has to do her job and actually moderate. The rest of the case was really testing her today. Here's her having to scream at Ana Navarro to shut up so they can go to break: VANCE: I’m telling you, we celebrate black history. We celebrate all American history in this administration. You guys might be skeptical of this, but I promise you it’s true. NAVARRO: Can I ask you about a specific piece of black history? GOLDBERG: He’s gotta - I gotta - NAVARRO: Do you think the attack on Michelle Obama - GOLDBERG: I have to go to break! [Claps her hands] ANA, GOD PLEASE! NAVARRO: - should have been condemned by the White House? GOLDBERG: We have more with Vice President J.D. Vance when we come back. Don't do that!

Jill Biden falsely claims Hunter Biden only had 1 child, a boy: "Hunter is doing so great and he's sober. He has a beautiful child, I mean, yes, thank you. Who's named beau. He named his son after Beau and Beau named his son after Hunter. Just shows the bond."

Some of what The View had to say about Charlie Kirk's assassination: ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: I hope it doesn't have a chilling effect whether you're left or right on your ability to speak your mind. I know the one thing we all agree about on this table, we all share our viewpoints, and we should be able to do that without fear. JOY BEHAR: Well, that's our bread and butter here. So, of course, it's very important. I agree with everything you say. SARA HAINES: Well also, we don't all align with his views, what I deeply aligned with is he said, 'when we stop talking, that's when things get bad.' The irony of a man who would go across the country to college campuses is where you're supposed to have conversations would go and his series was called "Prove me wrong." He would talk to people openly who disagreed. It's what we try to exemplify every day and say this is what we need more of.

Ta-Nehisi Coates suggests he's not above taking part in an October 7-style attack: "And I grow up under that oppression and that poverty and the wall comes down. Am I also strong enough or even constructed in such a way where I say this is too far, I don't know that I am."

MS NOW host Symone Sanders Townsend recounts how poor security was at the WHCD. She says she was able to roll up to the front door on a scooter and security did not ask to see her ID nor see her ticket, they assumed she was a guest at the hotel: "I actually showed up to the Hilton shortly after 8 P.M. And I actually took a scooter right up to the front of the Hilton driveway. And this matters because, as you know, usually there's a lot of protesters outside that's outside of those barricades before you can actually enter into the driveway of the Hilton. But this year, there are no protesters outside. I come to find out the people were actually milling about into the lobby. When I got off of the scooter and into in front of the barricade, usually you have to show ID and a ticket. The folks, the security at the gate, these were not agents, the Secret Service agents. They were not identified as Secret Service agents that I could see at the gate, but they did not ask me to show ID, and they did not ask me to show a ticket. They said, 'Oh, you're good. I'm sure you're going to your room.' I am not staying at the Washington Hilton. As I entered into the driveway, I saw the president's vehicle. The Beast was driving around in the circle of the Hilton driveway, and people walking around near it, taking photos. Secret Service was not keeping a perimeter. And it went around about two or three times while I was outside. When I entered into the Hilton, I asked Secret Service agents, which I saw they were identified as Secret Service agents, which way the ballroom was, and they said they didn't know. When I finally got my way onto elevator, no one asked me to show ID. No one asked me to show a ticket. I got all the way down to the red carpet area without ever showing a ticket to anyone in the Hilton. I am saying it like this because this is unusual."

The View is SHOCKED to learn from guest co-host Sara Eisen (an actual financial expert) that the markets are actually doing good and actually like Trump as president: GOLDBERG: Later after we do what we're supposed to do I do want to ask you about the market. EISEN: Please. GOLDBER: Because it seems that the market doesn't really pay attention to who is president. The market does what it does. EISEN: Actually the market likes who's president, I think. GOLBERG: Really? HOSTIN: Oh, interesting. EISEN: There's a lot of upbeat sentiment from companies. GOLDBERG: Ah. EISEN: And from investors about policies that are helpful for growth. You know, deregulation. HOSTIN: Do you think the tariffs are helpful for growth? EISEN: The tariffs usually wouldn't be helpful for growth but they're not as bad as everybody expected. HOSTIN: But they're not good. BEHAR: It helps for rich people. It doesn't help poor people or middle income people. EISEN: Fair. But, you know, when the tariffs were announced everyone thought it would be massive inflation and the market would fall apart and the economy and it hasn't. BEHAR: Not yet. EISEN: Some companies have absorbed it. You know what? They've never been more profitable right now, but they also like the tax bill.

But before you brought that up you brought up the message that the Democratic Party was disseminating. I'm challenging you on that. That is not what they were doing. WHOOPI: Oh, yes, it was.
