I want to really affirm our gratitude to President Tinubu, especially in the area of security. He has just established two battalions, one in Alkaleri and another one in Tafawa Balewa. The people of Bauchi are very proud of him. When we were almost overrun by bandits, nobody was coming to our aid. I went to him, and he responded in spite of my being in the opposition. He sent a high-powered military contingent under the National Security Adviser, the military services, and all security organisations. They really removed all the over 100,000 people who were trying to destroy our peace, and today, all those who were overrun have returned to their places, and they have found this farming season and we will never forget this. Tell him we will never forget this goodwill he has done to us. - Governor Bala Mohammed commends President Tinubu

President Tinubu has done so well in so many aspects, especially in the area of finance, because the states are getting more. - Governor Bala Mohammed spoke today during the visit of Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele and Health Minister Ali Pate to Bauchi State Bala said: Three years ago, this project was flagged off in Bauchi, and we're in opposition. After Bauchi, it was Oyo State, also an opposition state. That shows the kind of person and pedigree President Tinubu has. We don’t always oppose and criticise for the sake of criticising. When we see good things, we say it. The President has done so well in so many aspects, especially in the areas of health and finance, because the states are getting more.

They claim state governors have more money, that the state governments have been collecting more money from the Federation Account. I’m not arguing with that. Yes, the quantum of the money, yes, we have more money, but has it translated to fighting hunger in our society? The answer is no. - APM Presidential Candidate Governor Seyi Makinde said Oyo State’s dependence on FAAC dropped from over 80% when he assumed office in 2019 to 65% by 2022, but later returned to almost 80% due to the removal of fuel subsidy by President Tinubu and his voodoo economics.

Ojy Okpe: Atiku said he would restore subsidy. You said you would not. Peter Obi: Me and Atiku are saying the same thing. Ojy Okpe: No. You're not saying the same thing as Atiku. Peter Obi: Remember what I said. I'll deal with corruption. Ojy Okpe: Atiku is not talking about corruption.

NELFUND is a haven of corruption. They are only giving students N20,000 each. Which government school takes N20,000 as annual school fees? Why is Tinubu claiming he's paying students' school fees when he's giving them only N20,000? - ADC Chieftain Dino Melaye blasts President Tinubu’s administration

I sat down with Obi and Kwankwaso and told them that when they go to meet their crowds, they don't sell much. Kwankwaso just gathers millions of red caps. They dance, sing, and he waves his hands. I don't hear anything. Peter Obi does the same thing. He goes to a church funeral and waits until the church is full, and then he walks in and disrupts everything, and even the priest will be shouting 'Obi, Obi'. Only the corpse will still be quiet. - NDC Chieftain Babachir Lawal says he met with Peter Obi and Kwankwaso and advised them to focus more on issues like the rehabilitation of dams in the North, extraction of oil in Kolmani River field in Bauchi State with the aim of building a refinery, and the Mambilla hydropower project.

You can't wake up and, without any plan, say, "I'm setting up army divisions to tackle insecurity." - APM Presidential Candidate Governor Makinde criticises President Tinubu over the planning behind the establishment of additional army divisions. Makinde said: Midway into 2026, they set up army divisions, and I was looking at the 2026 budget and was looking for the item relating to the setting up of those army divisions. I did not see it. If they have it in the budget they prepared for 2026, they should bring it out.

If the president had wanted to win the Osun State election at all costs, I would be involved, and I would have been there, and Governor Adeleke would have known that it would have been different. - FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says Governor Adeleke’s victory was evidence that the federal government did not use its influence to manipulate the election in favour of the APC.

BREAKING: FCT Minister Nyesom Wike reveals the real reason why Governor Hope Uzodimma is leading a war against him. Wike said: Hope Uzodimma became a governor by taking fourth position. He has 11 months to leave office. President Tinubu will be inaugurated by May 2027, and Uzodimma's tenure will end around January 2028. Now, he wants to leave his office to run for Senate President. What he does is to tell APC governors to produce the senators and House of Reps members because of his agenda to become senate president. Governor Uzodimma is afraid that the senators who lost in APC and moved to the PDP might win and won't support him to become senate president because they're running with Wike's support. Life or death, I will never support a character of Hope Uzodimma to become the senate president.

Wike can't be on two sides. It doesn't make sense. He can say whatever he wants to say, but the Governors' Forum position is clear. Wike should come to the APC. We will take it up with President Tinubu when he returns from France. Let there be a clear line with where this guy belongs to. It's either he's in the APC or he's out. - Governor Dauda Lawal speaks on FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's feud with some APC governors over his Rainbow Coalition

BREAKING: Edo State Special Court set up by Governor Okpebholo to handle cult-related and kidnapping cases has delivered judgment in its first case by sentencing four suspected kidnappers to death by hanging over the kidnapping of one Precious Oseghale at Vegetable Market along Airport Road in Benin City on June 14th, 2026. Justice T. A. Momodu found the four suspects guilty on the 11-count charge relating to alleged kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, and unlawful possession of firearms. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike names the three APC Governors fighting him over the Rainbow Coalition Wike said: How can a governor leave his state and go to Abuja to complain that Rainbow Coalition is a distraction. Is that a serious governor? Adamawa, Edo, Kogi, Lagos, and Akwa-Ibom state governors do not have a problem with the Rainbow Coalition. I saw Ondo Governor there, and I was shocked. The governors having issues with me are Governor Hope Uzodimma, Governor Abdulrazaq, and Governor Dapo Abiodun.

I am the Senate President and not the acting President of Nigeria because President Tinubu is still in power. He's on a working leave, and there's no absence in Aso Rock. He was with French President Macron the other day. I am the only person who can declare a vacancy and there will be vacancy. Right now, there is no vacancy. Asiwaju Tinubu is still in power, and he's still running the affairs of Nigeria. The world is a global village, you can give instructions from the internet. So why are people complaining? - Senate President Akpabio spoke today in Akwa Ibom State amid calls for President Tinubu to hand over power to Vice President Shettima following his three-week working vacation, which was extended by a few days.

In 2014, Amaechi defined who a brother is. Other speakers didn't want to call his name. Well, I have the capacity to call his name all the time. Amaechi defined a brother as one who identifies with us in terms of problems. He said brotherhood is not blood relation. So, we are going to copy that definition for the 2027 presidential election. Amaechi said Jonathan never cared for us and that Buhari was our brother because he would identify with us. If that's the case, he now wants to run for Vice President. When he was minister, what did he do for us? Rather, he took the transportation university to Daura in Katsina State, thinking that it would make him president. Did they make him president? Now, Asiwaju has identified with us. Our sons are now Vice Chancellors of the University of Port Harcourt and the newly established University of Environment, which Amaechi denied us. That means Tinubu is our brother, and we have adopted him as our brother. So, we are going to follow Amaechi's definition and vote President Tinubu over him and the ADC. - FCT Minister Nyesom Wike takes a swipe at ADC Vice Presidential Candidate Rotimi Amaechi

When Buhari got the ticket, there was an issue with campaign funding, and Buhari was not a money person. So Timipre Sylva and I went to see one of the big-time rich people and held the meeting on his yacht because the man didn't want to be seen with Buhari's people. After the meeting, he agreed to support Buhari with funds, but while coming out of the yacht, a police officer saw us. Timipre was worried that the meeting would get to Jonathan’s ears, and it did. The man was summoned to Abuja and threatened, and that was how we lost that funding. That was when we went to Tinubu and explained the issue to him. Through him, we raised sufficient funds to run Buhari's campaign. Not only that, Osinbajo ran a separate campaign from Buhari, and it was also funded by Tinubu. Bola also hired consultants from America who were doing professional work on Buhari's image. They were the same people who ran Obama's campaign, and I know that cost him over N2 billion. Whenever there was a need for expenditure, he didn't go to the campaign purse. He spent from his own purse. - Former SGF Babachir Lawal
