I went back to chapter 35 for these conversations and I can’t help looking at it differently after Project Matis. How Maxwell refers to herself compared to Laplace/Drake, Syuen’s rep, and Laplace’s resolve. Remember none of them have NIMPH at this point. Maxwell is more like her human self when she’s in the field than at Missilis HQ. NIKKE is really something to get into for the stories.
