Maj. Emmanuel Neretse, who was the commander of Camp Kami during the Genocide against the Tutsi, is making baseless claims about the events of the night of 4–5 October 1990. He alleges that the RPA attacked Kigali which was a staged attack in order to arrest Tutsi. He made these remarks in a conversation with Gaspard Musabyimana, then the head of Immigration, claiming they had received this information from the U.S. Embassy. Maj. Neretse also claimed that Habyarimana's army was inclusive and included a significant number of Tutsi officers: one colonel, two lieutenant colonels, six majors, and twenty captains. However, he avoided providing their names, as he knew the claim is baseless He is talking in language similar to Kinyarwanda

On January 30, 2025, the Rwanda Defence Force commissioned 531 new special operations personnel after they completed an 11 month specialized combat training course at the Nasho Basic Military Training Centre in Kirehe District. Among the top performers, the third place was secured by female soldier Nahemia Gakunde Kwibuka.

Sharing a photo or footage of an RPA soldier is a tribute to the countless Inkotanyi soldiers who remain unseen. On July 4, 1994, the Associated Press captured the heroic rescue efforts of Inkotanyi at Ste Famille Parish among them a young RPA Sergeant bravely wielding two guns. He wore a military rope and military combat uniform from the Habyarimana's force, RPA's main supplier. Even after 29 years, he continues to serve RDf with dedication. Meet Colonel Caple Karangwa.

January 20, 1998 The then Minister of Internal Security and current Ambassador of Rwanda to Indonesia, Abdul K. Harelimana, visited the crime scene where ALiR/FDLR killed BRALIRWA staff, most of whom were burned inside the bus the previous day. On January 19, 1998, a group of 74 BRALIRWA employees were on a company bus heading to work for the morning shift, which started at 7:00 a.m. Twenty-five people were killed on the spot, while 10 of the 35 seriously wounded later died at Gisenyi Hospital. According to former FDLR combatants, this crime was committed by ALiR/FDLR under the command of then-Maj. Pacifique Ntawunguka, the current FDLR Chief of Staff, as Nyamyumba Commune was under his area of operations.

13 July 1994 French TV2 FRANCE2 crew (Amar Paul, Vincent Maillard, and Eric Monnier) found RPA soldiers on the Ruhengeri–Gisenyi road. These soldiers were from the Bravo Mobile Force. One of the commanders, Charles Kayonga, said in the interview that he hoped French soldiers would leave the Opération Turquoise zone and let the RPA pursue the killers of the people. Note that towards the end of June 1994, Afande Charles Kayonga and Jacob Tumwiine left 3Bn and joined Bravo to defeat the enemy at Mount Jari and continue the north-western front until the genocidal forces were ousted from Rwanda. 3Bn remained under the command of Afande Kwikiriza. The same journalists also interviewed the Lt. Col. Tharcisse Renzaho, (genocide convict who was Mayor of Kigali during the genocide) who said that leaving Kigali for the FAR was a tactical withdrawal and that they would retake Kigali as soon as possible. It has now been 32 years. That tactic shifted to the internet by promoting propaganda and denying the Genocide against the Tutsi; the mission is now being inherited by their descendants as they age.
