Agbara Nla, also known as "Ayamatanga" , was a powerful Gospel drama released in 1992 by Mount Zion Films Ministry. The movie became extremely popular and scared many of us as children. It also brought Mount Zion Films into the limelight.Originally released in Yoruba, its massive success led to a full English version in 1994 titled "The Ultimate Power". Instead of dubbing or subtitling the original, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye and the team completely reshot the entire film from scratch to reach a wider audience across Nigeria and beyond. In 1988, a young law student from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, named Bianca Onoh (representing Abuja) was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.She didn’t stop there. That same year, she won Miss Africa 1988 in Banjul, Gambia, then made history on March 4, 1989, by becoming the first African to win Miss Intercontinental at the National Arts Theatre in Lagos, hosted by Silverbird Productions. But her reign was as dramatic as it was iconic.Amid intense public scrutiny over her relationship with Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu (which her father, Christian Onoh, initially opposed), Bianca resigned both titles. The MBGN crown went to runner-up Regina Askia, while Miss Intercontinental passed to Brenda Marte of the Dominican Republic. Bianca Onoh didn’t just win pageants she put Nigerian beauty on the global map in the late ‘80s.

In the 1970s, there was a man known as ‘Area Scatter’ whose real name is Uzoma Odimara. According to reports, Area Scatter was a civil servant in Imo State, who earned his living from his salary while working with the Nigerian government. However, stories have it that during the civil war, the man disappeared for about 7 months and was not seen throughout the period; only to reappear after 7 months and 7 days. Uzoma claimed that during his absence, the gods had taken him. He returned with a feminine appearance pierced ears, braided hair, and a rhythmic, graceful gait. He insisted the spirits had gifted him "uncanny powers" to enhance his musical talent and embrace a feminine spirit. Like many legends, his story ended abruptly. Rumors and reports confirm that Area Scatter passed away following a tragic car accident along the Port Harcourt-Owerri Expressway..
