We cross over to Spice FM, where economist Odhiambo Ramogi is being hosted and has been asked to translate today’s quote in his own words. Ramogi has just said that even bad presidents, like William Ruto, according to him, are a lesson to us Kenyans. It is the laugh from him for me. Ramogi sounds like those old philosophy professors on campus who know you will do them nothing even if they give you a zero in the final exams.

Sifuna Takes Aim at Atwoli Over Youth Remarks Buana, Edwin Sifuna has taken issue with Francis Atwoli after his weekend remarks that young people are supposed to be protecting the country. Speaking in Kitui, Sifuna says some of what he refers to as "wazee" are aging badly. The Nairobi Senator says it is time for the youth to take over the leadership of the country, urging young people to register as voters. "Sisi tunajua hao wazee. Akishakaa chini ya mti, umeletee maziwa kama paka mzee, kuna shida kweli?" says Sifuna, adding that they will respect elders who show respect to the youth.

Winnie Odinga says she is yet to decide whether she will support President William Ruto's reelection bid in 2027. She argues that if Raila Odinga was alive, he would contest the presidency because of what she says is the current state of the country. Winnie also suggests that ODM is drifting away from the wishes of its supporters, claiming a small group within the party is advancing its own interests in the name of political survival instead of listening to the people.

CS Geoffrey Ruku has told Hot 96 that all the goodies distributed in Ol Kalou during the just-concluded by-election cost roughly KSh 100 million. Ruku further adds that the money was not directly from the Exchequer but from UDA's account. Ruku, in his wisdom, says UDA funded the distribution of thousands of 6-kilogram LPG cooking gas cylinders and mattresses, two motorized fishing boats valued at KSh 5 million, and 20,000 fish fingerlings to promote aquaculture. CS Ruku further suggests UDA financed the revival of the Nairobi to Nyahururu railway line; the construction of the 37-kilometer Ithangani to Ngorika to Kanyiriri road; upgrades at Ol Kalou Market, including translucent roofing for vending zones; as well as the distribution of cash handouts, water pipes, electricity poles, and food donations.

While Edwin Sifuna enjoys the music on the way to Kitale for the mega rally, former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza appears to be struggling in another vehicle because of her dress. I have seen Pauline Njoroge and former LSK President Faith Odhiambo adapt to the political campaign scene by dressing comfortably. Maybe they should offer Kawira a few lessons.

Not insinuating anything, but there is a high likelihood this is a police officer or someone affiliated with the security sector conducting intelligence gathering. From the videos and photos circulating online, it is evident the state used covert methods to suppress the protests. In areas like Githurai, we saw police officers dressed in jua kali clothing and boda boda reflectors, while others wore masks. Interesting times to live in Kenya.

Folks, NTV is not done yet with the Lord's work regarding the Ol Kalou by-election. The Kimathi Street-based media house has exposed a senior government official who works at the Communications Authority of Kenya. Charles Kamau Karondo, also a certified mediator, was captured on camera dishing out money to Ol Kalou voters. Here in the village, we are left wondering why Charles could not mediate that election for UDA's candidate to win. Villagers here are also asking if IEBC has seen that story by NTV.
