This is what D1 District Final games used to look like. 🏀 In 2000, No. 4 Mansfield Sr. beat No. 7 Lima Sr. 96-92 in OT at Savage Hall. The Tygers won 3 straight OT games before losing to No. 1 Libbey in the regional final. Led by Ricky Minard & Herman Davis.

Saddened to hear the unexpected passing of former South Webster head coach Marc Kreischer. He is a 1996 Lexington graduate playing for the late Steve Gray and earning 2nd Team All-OH. In his honor, here are a couple of clips from the Jeeps 2006 state championship (26-2).

Let’s start the New Year right with an all-timer in a 1992 D4 semifinal. Berlin Hiland pulled off a nearly impossible comeback behind the great Jr Raber’s heroics and 31 points to upset LCC. The amount of stories I’ve heard from people leaving this game early is incredible.
