Kayode’s life has been changed forever in Canada for his act of kindness… even when he had little himself. Nigerians will leave their problems to rally around & help others in urgent need. We've seen this play out many times From raising tuition fees, to law school fees, medical fees, family/business support, etc. Nigerians are inherently good people. And I love to see it! Congratulations, Kayode! Thank you Zach (@/mdmotivator on Instagram). Zach went back the following day to give Kayode the $100,000 he raised for him, a new car, and the new MacBook. This is amazingggggg!

BREAKING: Canada’s Immigration Minister has announced that new measures are coming in the Express Entry program to remove additional points that candidates get for having an LMIA-supported job offer. This is to remove the incentives for purchasing an LMIA and ending the fraud being perpetuated through this.

Category: Researchers with Canadian work experience - NOC 41201: Post-secondary teaching and research assistants - NOC 41200: University professors and lecturers Jokes aside, Postdoctoral candidates, and perhaps Master's and PhD students/graduates in Canada, should be well favoured by this. NB: With one year of full-time work experience (or equivalent in part-time work) required, we may need to get additional clarification/confirmation from IRCC on the eligibility of work experience while still studying as a student inside Canada.

UPDATE: At an exclusive sit-down interview recently released, Canada’s Immigration Minister shared this information on the much anticipated TR to PR program. In summary: ➡️: It is 33,000 quota over a 2-year period (2026 and 2027). ➡️: It is for those who already live in Canada and have a job. ➡️: It is to select people that are NOT in the major city centres (it won’t be for people in cities like Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, etc). ➡️: It is for people that are working and have been working for some time (probably close to a 2-year period and have built connections). ➡️: The work experience in Canada is an important factor, especially in rural communities. ➡️: Generally speaking, IRCC is looking at making it job sector specific. ➡️: More information expected in the coming weeks on the specific requirements. Be on the lookout. More information available on YouTube at

We ran the numbers to see how one can meet today’s Express Entry cutoff without having French Language, a nomination, or a relative in Canada. We got 564. To get this a candidate will be a unicorn and have: - A Masters (done in Canada) - Below 30 years old - 3 years work experience outside Canada - 2 years work experience in Canada - Maxed out language test score - No French (or second language test) - No nomination - No sibling in Canada - No job offer That’s really tough!

We ran the numbers to see an example of how a candidate can meet today’s Express Entry cutoff with no French Language, no PNP/nomination, no sibling in Canada, and no job offer We got 546. This is for a SINGLE candidate who has studied in Canada and has the following: - A Masters (done in Canada) - 30 years old - 3 years work experience outside Canada - 1 year work experience in Canada - Maxed out language test score - No French (or second language test) - No nomination (PNP) - No sibling in Canada - No LMIA job offer All these will give some other candidates (who are inside or outside Canada) more points as well. Tough but not impossible. A total of 1,350 candidates made that cut today. What do you think?

Listening to radio was one of the things that changed my life. It was where my journey to Canada started. The first time I heard about Saskatchewan was on a radio station in Ibadan. Months later, I got full scholarships worth over $100,000 from University of Saskatchewan. I once shared this on the Don’t Go Broke Trying 🎙 some years ago. You can watch the full interview below. I shared lots of gems there.
